"Well, she was actually a dog... But not anymore." Celeste replied. "She's trained, so she's not going to hurt anybody." Onyx whined, looking at her master. She then looked over at the sky, and then forward again. Celeste sighed. Now what do I do here...(It's too short :/ on mobile.)

Warren, since the events of the portal openings, decided to wander home, remembering Wilson's order to find and bring the humans to him. On the way back to his last encampment, he ended up seeing a strange scene: A couple of humans, a hound, and some sort of shadowy creature, all grouped together.

He stopped walking and looked at the group, watching. He was not sure what to make of this, and was not sure if moving closer would be a good idea. He was told to get these humans, but right then, he wasn't so sure about whether Wilson was himself anyway.

(Isn't noir the feminine of noire?)"Yes. Higgsbury's mind has been fractured. But perhaps it can be mended." Charlie thought to herself for a moment, taking a few puffs of her pipe. "Do the merms still ally with you? After all..." Charlie snickered. "They do consider you father." Charlie took notice to a book in the corner. It read, On tentacles. "There are things here even Higgsbury does not control." Charlie grinned madly. "Yes...creatures from the deep. Dark corners that even he dare not go."

"Do not adress that fool Newleaf when I am here. I do not have a crown, I am the crown." Cronos looks around as the area becomes dryer. "Oh, very clever. Take away the water, and we should fall apart, right?" He snorts. "Wrong." Cronos gestures to his treeguards, who seem completely unfazed by the lack of moisture. "I've had maleni of experience in battle. My troops no longer need moisture to survive. And now, I believe it's my turn." Cronos aims his arms at Wilson and vines shoot out, going for his arms and legs.

(If that is the effeminate form of the name, I had no idea. Does help that a certain entity is technically genderless, so it doesn't matter TOO much...)

"...a Merm is the reason I only seemed to be on this plane once before being pulled into this form by accident," the bird grumbled before taking in another puff, a smile emerging on its face as the nicotine hit its lungs and aided in calming his nerves.

A sudden shiver went up its spine, one that Shadowblade recognized all too easily. "...damn, speaking of the Hallucination...feels like Noir took over control again. And I was enjoying being able to smoke again." Out of habit did it try to snap away the cigar, only to become disapointed when it still remained in its beak. "...would you be so kind as to put this out and up for me, Charlie?" Careful not to burn any feathers in the process, the Croenix tried to hand it over toward the shadowed lady, lit end facing away from her. "I have to make sure Noir doesn't destroy too much of the place again. Even if Percival does clean up after that thing's messes, it's rather annoying to see one's work destroyed in the blink of an eye."

(...is now a good time to mention that I'm not exactly good in combat...? ^^; )

"Heh, wasting your strength on an Avatar, try coming to the throne and starting a fist fight instead," the living shadow taunted as it allowed the vines to ensnare it, becoming bound at the wrists and ankles. "Also, don't you hear the screams from all the plantlife and nature that does still need that same water to survive for very long?" With a sudden jump into the air did the winged beast of black take to the sky, taking the regal treeguard into the sky with it, at least for a short period of time.

(Hooray! Congratulations! Is that the right word? I don't even...)Cronos snarls as he is lifted into the air. "Stop trying to distract me. I can tend to the land after I kill you." He shortened his vines to pull the creature closer, not faltered by not being on the ground. When the creature came close enough, he grappled on to it, one arm around its neak, and one on it's wing, and tries to slow it enough that it falls out of the sky.(As you can see, I'm not very good either...)

Charlie extinguished the cigar against the marble statue's base. "Go. I must tend to the preparations." She turned sharply and shouted. "Mr. Skits!" A snake like hallucination crawled out from the shadows. "Send word to the ruin team. We look for allies and a green gem. Go." The snake nodded and slithered back into the shadows.

(Lol, disapoof. @Tesability I plan on making an art thread in the future when I have more Don't Starve related art, rather then stuff strictly from this RP. I'll give a heads-up when I make it, plus they'll be a link in my signature. I hope to be featured on the official page someday! Also, I'll post the RP art there, so more advertisement, yay!)

"Harmless then, huh? Interesting..." Aaron maneuvered around where there was a clearing in the forest before addressing the hallucination still awaiting an answer. "I'll have to think about venturing off. Maybe when I've got more stuff to survive with." Assuming Celeste was following him, Aaron spoke aloud as he picked up some flint and sticks, walking further into the small clearing, "I'll be setting up a camp here for now, Celeste."

Soon afterwards, the boy was off into the woods, chopping down a few trees with his new axe while picking up any stone he could fine along the way. When he returned, he came with armfuls of both wood and stones, and began rearranging the stones to a small fire pit, placing the wood he gathered in the center. Then Aaron took off once more towards the more lively part of this area, where a beehive buzzed in the distance and carrots and berries were plentiful all around. This area was neatly located north of his campsite, and he harvest what food he could. Once again, Aaron returned to the camp where he approached Celeste and her hound with a handful of freshly picked berries, the red juices still oozing on his palms. "Here, you should eat up before night comes."

There was some light shuffling in the distance, where the forest trees were thick. He could have sworn he heard a faint oinking, but dismissed it. If there was indeed a pig, he had nothing to fear. Pigs in the Beyond were neutral towards humans.

Right?

(Not a actual question, just Aaron's thoughts. )

Celeste took some of the berries. She gave a couple to Onyx and began to eat the ones she had in her hands slowly. As she finished the few berries that she had taken, she moved back and propped herself against a tree, Onyx shuffling over to join her. Celeste looked at the sky and sighed. I wonder why I ever came here in the first place... But I seem to be okay. For now.

Warren had surveyed the small group for long enough; he decided to come into clear view to discuss his intentions. At this point however, he had no plans to do any harm to them unless they come after him first, but he was sure his weapon and combat proficiency would be enough to sort out any troubles.

He walked towards them, spear on back, and approached Aaron from behind. "None of you are the human that Higgs said to get... but what are you doing here?"

Shadowblade was quick to take to the sky after the cigar left its wing, heading straight toward the direction it had felt the disturbance. It was unnerving how close the source had been to the secret garden unseen by all except those with knowledge of it, for it soon spotted the lanky shadowed humanoid up in the air as its opponent, a treeguard wearing a crown managed to grab the very-bottom of the thing's wing. The effect of this took hold fast, the being started to take to a death spiral from how the wing was yanked. The Hallucination had obviously underestimated the physical strength of its opponent. However, grabbing it by the neck was something the living plant should have never done.

"You really think you can take me out," it spoke with acid before trying to find what would be considered a neck for a tree before immediately disregarding the thought and started trying to tear out branches from the nature king. The black phoenix watching above knew it had to do something before something met its end, so it did the only thing it could.

"SNAP OUT OF IT, HIGGSBURY!" It didn't bother hiding the voice, though it shouted loud enough for everyone in the Beyond to hear it. Which was a good thing, because then neither of the souls in the Puppet Master's form would know where it came from. The effect of the shout was obvious, however...

The black creature found itself suddenly fighting a two-front war after the out-of-place shout, a physical one against Cronos and a mental one against Wilson, who was now trying to fight his way back into control. The death spiral began to speed up, almost to the point where it was falling faster than the royal. Its appearance began to rapidly swap between its own pure-black form and that of its human host, pure white eyes blending with brown-orange as it happened. It started cursing under its breath during moments when it had regained control, cursing at the unintentional programming the former Puppet Master had inflicted into the mind of the current King. It wasn't sure if it would regain full control before the trio hit the ground...

Cronos tried holding his grip as hard as possible, when his branches began to be torn out. He snarled and opened his mouth to speak when an odd looking bird let out a cry, saying "SNAP OUT OF IT, HIGGSBURY!" The creature looked distraught as it heard the shout, and his form began to shift back to the normal Wilson. But for Cronos, this was an opportunity. His opponent was weak, and very killable. Cronos began hammering at Wilson, trying to beat him down, when he looked below. They were falling, fast. And as much as Cronos wanted to kill Wilson now, he put all his energy into the nearby ground, making it overgrown with plants and trees, hoping that would be enough to not kill his host's body on the drop, he resumed his pummeling on Wilson.

Aaron sat against the tree across from the girl and her hound. It was pleasant not to be alone in this terrible place anymore, and he felt a sense of calm wash over him. He watched as Onyx scurried towards towards her, and felt even safer knowing a dog was on their side. With a deep sigh of relief, he gazed up at the sky and marveled at the stars as they appeared in the dim light of dusk.

Aaron's peace was hardly interrupted when a pigman neared him. It was only when he heard the deep voice bellow from behind him that he jumped.

"None of you are the human that Higgs said to get... but what are you doing here?" The pigman spoke, and Aaron nearly fell face first into the dirt in front of him to get away as quickly as possible from the assumed threat. He was mistaken, however, as the rather docile pigman stared back at him, a small look of confusion on his face from watching the boy squirm backward, and then into a sitting position.

After a moment to let his brain process the new information of the pigman, Aaron responded. "I'm not sure why we're here... For now I'd like to survive rather than ask questions." With that last statement, the human shuffled a bit on the floor to the left, leaving a space. After quickly lighting the fire in the pit, he gestured his arm in a welcoming motion, beckoning the pigman to join them in the spot he cleared near the campfire.

Seeing how the pig had a spear, but it was unequipped at the moment, Aaron assumed he wasn't going to attack them, and if he was he would see him prepare the weapon. The pigman's straw hat on his head also left a rather human impression, and made the pig seem even more fitting to join them.

"SNAP OUT OF IT, HIGGSBURY!" Boomed across the sky, echoing throughout the trees that surrounded the trio.

"what was..." Aaron commented, but let his own voice trail off, as he was preoccupied with other things.

"You're only going to make us disappear for a few hours at most," the black creature managed to finally say before its control finally slipped, allowing the human within to emerge. Though the greeting he got was less than pleasant.

"Let go!" Wilson shouted, trying to get Cronos to let go of his neck by grabbing onto its hand with both of his own and pulling it off. He doubted it would work, but he had to try it. His will to live had reappeared, even if it was only in attempt to save his ability to project a double away from the throne for a while. His shout included a slight gargle, blood was building up in his lungs from the bludgeoning he had been recieving. "As fast as we're fall...ing...your tr...trees won't save...us..." A headache was starting to build up, a sign that he was going to lose this projection really soon if something isn't done. The bound king couldn't help but wince from the combined pain as they continued falling faster and faster.

The Hallucination had gone much higher that Wilson would have ever normally flown...

(Probably will crash the next time I post...)

Warren raised an eye, thinking back on the question he had just asked. Of course these humans would not really know what they are doing here; they looked lost and confused to begin with, and they've probably seen better days. The looks of them looked nothing like how Wilson described them; a real enemy would be better-prepared, surely.

"Hmmm... I guess you peoples don't know. You're able to come here because Higgs got angry at some of you peoples over something about a game. I am not sure myself exactly what he meant." He accepted the offered seat, staring at the fire. "I... think something is wrong with Higgs, though..."

His head turned toward the sky as he heard a voice echoing in the air. "...Very wrong, it seems." He turned his attention to the boy once again. "Maybe I should help you."

(SABEKU, YOU STARTED SOMETHING. Death Spiral I tried making a picture of Wilson and Cronos, I had to wing it on the crown, though...didn't see a description for it.)

~Meanwhile on Earth~The portals that had appeared around the world had managed to catch the attention of various news crews, a few having managed to catch footage of some of the images shown in them at one point or another. Multiple televisions were blaring about the silver disks that had emerged, creating massive amount of chaos among the streets. Many were thinking that the end times were coming and raiding all the stores and getting as many supplies as possible. In a small part of Vancouver, Canada, however; the madness had not yet struck. One of the kids was watching the news from his iPod, curiosity always getting the better of him as usual. He saw the news about the silver portals and mananged to stop the broadcast on one part when a particular image caught his interest."Wait, is that...Wilson," he muttered to himself before hauling off toward a seemingly-random direction, eager to get more details about what was going on...

(I regret nothing, Tesability. Muahaha, draw on! It looks good  )

"Higgs..." Aaron repeated thoughtfully. His face tensed as his mind began working. Why does that name sound familiar, he wondered. The only thing his brain was able to muster was something related to Wilson, and that hasn't seemed to bring anything good. "Who is Higgs?" He asked the pig, curious to dig up more answers.

After seeing how cautious the pigman was rather than hostile, he figured it best to have him along on his entourage. The more help he got, the better his chances were at survival. Then again, the more people, the more mouths to feed and more people to keep track of. It was both risky, yet beneficial. He already had a girl and her dog with them, and a possible hallucination, should it still be around asking for help. In the end, he simply looked at the pigman and nodded. "Alright then, we could use your help. My name is Aaron," the boy extended his arm, showing his palm for a handshake. "What should we call you?" After mulling over the thought, he was rather glad to have so many people with him. Surely, this would help him keep a tight grip on his sanity, and they could potentially help make surviving easier. The only problem was their viewpoint on Wilson. How much did Celeste and the pigman know about him? Would they try to help him like Aaron would? But these were questions for a later date. For now, surviving was top priority.

(So, my little plan is that Aaron will apparently be 'leading' this so called 'resistance' against Wilson/the Beyond, but he himself just wants to help Wilson, which could lead to some potentially bad choices later on. We'll see how things play out, this is just a rough guess-timation.)

Edit: Notes

Edited by Sabeku

(It looks great! It's a nice representation of Newleaf/Cronos.)Cronos looks down, judging that they only have a few moments left. He lets go of Wilson's wing, and with a snap of his fingers the trees below them become tall but lean treeguards, and they grab the nearby ferns, stretching them below Cronos and Wilson to soften the fall. It is evident that they will be able to survive the fall, but most likely with major injuries.

(Sorry if this seemed a little power-played, it was either this or...a possible splat on the grass.)

Both wings now freed, the Bound King spread out his wings as far as possible when he grabbed for Cronos' hands to get a grip on him and hopefully slow both of their descents. Closing his eyes to both focus and out of pain, the dark-grey feathered wings that emerged from Wilson's back began to grow larger and larger, hopefully large enough to support both the human's weight and the...admittedly-heavy treeguard's weight.

It was difficult, the blood pooling in this double's lungs was increasing more than this double can heal from the damage dealt and the pounding in his head from the headache was increasing in speed and power. He wasn't sure if he could stop their fall in this state. Wincing as he did, the scrawny man began flapping the enlarged wings, allowing their hasted fall to slow. Thankfully, he managed to catch wind underneath them, which almost halted the deadly spiral in its tracks. Placing the royal on the ground, Wilson landed on his feet before stumbling forward, then back before falling backwards onto the grass himself, recalling the wings to normal size just after he landed. Not once had he reopen his eyes the whole time, in fact they were tightly shut.

Then he heard another set of wings and a soft cawing sound, which caught the weakened human's attention. Opening his brown-orange eyes and looking a little to his left, he spotted his creation nudging him in the side with its beak. "Sorry, Shadowblade," Wilson gingerly spoke before lifting a hand to pet the unusual black and red bird on its head. "I think I'm going to be stuck on the Throne for a bit." With that did Wilson close his eyes once more before his form began to change, this time into a thick cloud of both black and white mist before dissipating into the air around them.

At this moment, the altered phoenix turned its head toward the Treeguard, the indigo in its eyes shining vividly. "Cronos, you dunderhead. You know better than to waste your time on mere projections." Though it didn't dare speak around the current Puppet Master, the voice that came from its beak sounded all too familiar...

(I think I can dis-a-poof now. I'll delete the post if you want me to, also, sorry for short post.)

Ware felt a sharp pain in his head when he woke up. He was surrounded by charcoal and ashes, with an unlit torch next to him.

The only thing he could recall is some sort of living rock. Ware set out to find civilization, thinking he was simply in the wilderness, still in Earth.
