Ganonn360
Items don't despawn but food can be eaten
Juxta
So you don't need chests?!...I was shouting at my monitor last night watching Etho, calling him crazy for placing the items on the floor...dammit that opens up a whole new world of item sorting. 501105
You dont need chests for items other then for food since it gets eaten (like mentioned), but they are handy to have. Chests make it easy to sort items to have a chest for food, tools and so on.
Chocolate Tree
Chests are more useful regarding "inflammable" items...you never know what could set you're lil' town on fire... I have plenty of staff on the ground as decoration (honey, gold, eggs etc)
Joyousterror
Get chests. Their invaluable to storing food without it being eaten off the ground. All your flammable items will more than likely also be destroyed. You won't mean it to. But accidents happen and they are costly XD personally for rocks/flint/gold i just throw them on the floor. A Bad Feeling
Are chests flammable? I never tried to burn one... Or had the misfortune of this happening without planning.
