It's a niche structure, could get this little QoL change.

It bugs me lots. The structure itself wouldn't be all that bad and overlooked if it had anything putting it above a generic Fire Pit (which is much cheaper).

What do you think?

I know the topic has been brought up dozens of times already, I don't mind it. I mind Night Hands doing self sabotage on Night Lights. It needs to be... HANDled!

This buff would not do anything to make anyone start using it. It uses nightmare fuel as its fuel source, so the only thing that this buff would achieve is making it so people who are already using it because they have more nightmare fuel than logs don't get bothered by night hands. Nobody is going to be like "If I'm low sanityĀ andĀ I spend the typically rather rare nightmare fuel instead of often ubiquitous logs/grass/twigs then I can avoid the mildest of inconvenience in needing to either step on night hands for a second or add a little more fuel? Sign me up!".

i'm a basebuilding weirdo. i would 100% use this in caves as a road runner(the way i use hearts above-ground sometimes)

It should also be immune to wavy jones and stop him spawning in your boat

Why would anyone disagree? It's not making the game any easier, it's not usurping any other items, it's not going against any theming. It's an inoffensive buff to an item that wouldn't really impact the game at all and would probably just be fun trivia/lore. The only reason I could see worth disagreeing is if you're worried about the impact on development time, but I'm sure this would literally be minutes at most to code.

If it was immune to Wavy Jones that would actually be extremely good. It should definitely do that. Anything to make sailing less unbearable.Ā

I agree but I mean a small qol buff is better than no small qol buff. (they could expand on the idea too I have no clue on how though)

That's the one I was reading through the topic to find, to make sure I don't add a suggestion already made. Yeah, I've long thought that was a good idea, and would be a nice "huh?" moment when players realize they act differently and curse however much time they mistakenly drove them off for!

Honestly it would be extremely cool.

It synergies really well with the item, making you benifit from being insane.

As for Wavy jones since he is different, he will fully fuel it if it has fuel in it already and then dissapear. I hate how he gets stuck behind structures, it limits boat building so much.
