Double Great Depths Worm... Bug or hidden feature ?

Hey there,

I just experienced something quite strange. I was playing with my GF and we faced a Great Depth Worm attack that featured not one, but TWO Great Depths Worms. This was a first for me and I didn't even know it was possible... Which is not, according to the wiki page of the creature (https://dontstarve.wiki.gg/wiki/Great_Depths_Worm)

We have the Year of The Depth Worm activated and while there is no mention of that kind of feature in the wiki page of the event (https://dontstarve.wiki.gg/wiki/Year_of_the_Depths_Worm), we would like to know if something like that has already been experienced by someone here. If not, I will probably report it as bug the next time it happens (I totally forgot to take a screenshot, the fight was quite... messy)

Me and my friend also got one GDW for each of us.

(They ate upgraded Enlightened Crown...)

It replaces a wave for 1 person. So the other person can also get 1 rwplacing their own wave. Happened to me a couple of times. Thankfully they dont destroy krampus sacks

 @Dracian Yes, this is indeed a bug (or an oversight). GDW is literally like bearger and deerclops. You don't and can't have more than 1 and they certaintly don't spawn more per player.....this is probably a biproduct of a boss being tied to waves.

And yes....I was the first one to have discover it btw.

Why I didn't say anything? I...may have found it very funny and enjoyable, even if wrong. A guilty pleasure 😛 but yeah, it should be absolutely fixed (together with its 20%....)

Worms are among the bugs on the phylogenetic tree and Giant Depths Worms are usually hidden, which makes two of them hidden bugs.

in 600 days i've only got one great worm and it was right when I was fighting toadstool, ruining the encounter anyway.

and I set it to spawn "often" in worldgen.

I have never been this underwhelmed and disappointed by a new boss this bad.

Klei really be adding a drop in a puddle for cave enjoyers.

All this time developing the worm just to have a number be low so it’s for nothing
