Wanted to start off this post by saying I really enjoy both the W.A.R.B.O.T and Scion fight, IMO it is a perfect mix of difficulty, fun, and visually great. Hats off to Klei this feels like a proper finale fight.

Buuuuut, I can't lie the rewards for the fight feel incredibly underwhelming, I wanted to make a post like this but I felt like it was difficult to give feedback during the beta because a lot of things were work in progress right up until the end. Klei mentioned they wanted to go back into beta to touch up on some features they wanted to implement for this update, and I still don't know if rewards for the fight is one of the things they planned to touch up on. I wanted to make this post to see what other people think and bring some attention to what I see as an issue.

The new upgraded enlightened crown is objectively a good item: consistent light, damage, and sanity is very strong who would have guessed. In a vacuum I have no problems with this item, except it is the only use of celestial jewels. I am not going to lie I was devastated when I learned they only planned to give the jewels one use (for the current update). After so much effort progressing though the lunar questline and defeating the final boss we just get a celestial crown upgrade, I really wish we had 2-3 more unique rewards that are crafted from the celestial jewels. Give me a reason to refight this boss! I love fighting it but there's currently no point.

The terramites are a bit underwhelming, they can chop trees fast but not much else. They feel like Maxwell servants but instead of spawning with them you have to fight one of the hardest bosses to prep for and continue doing so just to maintain them. They feel bad considering you witness them in a much more powerful state during the boss fight: doing combat damage, spinning around the boss, setting up electric fences, but outside of the fight they are a considerably worse version of a character perk. I really hope Klei goes back on these drones and significantly reworks them because in their current state it definitely feels bad on paper and in practice. Weather pains do what the drones do but a lot better IMO.

What does everyone else think? What kind of celestial jewel items would you like to see if Klei decides to add more?

I would adore luxury crafts with the jewels myself, given their endgame status.

A craft in particular that I would love to see is a structure that works like an elasticspaced chest/bundle for spoilable items, with one slot to store an unlimited amount of one item type that halts spoilage (perhaps very slowly reverses it, maybe??). I think a craft like this would be nice without stepping too much on other food preservation crafts (bundles are still good for portable spoilage prevention/bulk transport, and ickers would be a much cheaper alternative with visual indicators for whats inside).

Allowing them to be placed at a telelocator focus instead of gems, and giving it unlimited uses would be nice.
Super duper late game infinite telepad network for everyone else to enjoy.

It’s so nice to read this, especially after that wave of unjustified, over-fetishized hate defending only their own perspective. It’s refreshing to see someone who knows how to express themselves like this. ❤️

I’ll share my vision — something realistic that could actually be added to the game. Of course, if it were entirely up to me, I’d definitely add a super cheap endgame teleport source… which I’m still waiting for, by the way. It’s really frustrating that we still don’t have an endgame teleportation option, even though we’ve earned it by completing the whole lunar questline. I’d love to set up my own teleport stations, just like when playing as Wanda. I don’t think teleportation needs to be expensive—especially now that so many characters already have ways to teleport. I think it would be fair if every character had access to something like this, because after playing a character like Wanda, you really miss having teleports, and playing a character without any means of teleportation can feel pretty bad in comparison.

As for the celestial jewels, I’d love for them to make lanterns shine much brighter and stronger than the ones made with Celestial Champion’s drops, and also to create a small area where sanity is converted into its lunar version.

Based on what the drones do during the boss fight, it would be amazing to have craftable electric fences that deal damage to mobs passing through them or automatically slow them down and paralyze them. This would be perfect for mob farms or base defense, and it fits really well with the lunar tech theme.

This should already be the case but to start off, terramites shouldn't have durability and jewels can be used for mushlight/glowcap but with 10x light radius.

I think that adding jewels to crown and beating one of the final questline bosses we should get real permanent light without negatives and crown already floats above player's head so it doesn't need to take a slot and we should be able to use crown with any other head gear.

Maybe a jewel could be used to upgrade bearger bin so that it completely stops or even restores food spoilage and to remove restriction so that every single food item can be put inside.

A boat upgrade with a jewel so that it can't have leaks or be destroyed but it can still take damage and when it goes to 0 it basically can't be moved anymore.

Houndius shootius upgrade with jewel so that it deals much more damage and allows us to pick them up by right clicking, no longer requiring deconstruction staff.

There can be countless ideas and many of them should be implemented so that players want to kill the new boss on repeat and not know how to spend their jewels because of so many options.

Teleportation shouldn't be this late into the game, I have already made this suggestion but I'll repeat it. Allow players to use lazy deserter alone and right clicking it opens up map and highlights all of the other lazy deserter locations. This can be balanced by decreasing desert stones antlion drops after being killed but a trade with him should exist but it needs to be expensive.

i completely agree, i said this in a different post a bit ago and I'm happy I'm not the only one, i really do enjoy the boss fight i just hate how all it does is upgrade the crown so there's no point in killing it if you dont use it and even if you do you only need to do it once, hopefully they give them more uses so theres a point in killing it more than once.

Being able to craft Wagstaff's machines from his workstation after the fight (Restrained static, Spark Ark, WOBOT etc.)

Terramites should dig up stumps (come on, this is the end end-game worker), they also should be repaired with warbis kit, or straight up have infinite durability.

Flying drones, please.

As for the jewels, maybe plugging them into fissures/nightmare lights to create enlightenment zones? (Making the caves and ruins free from nightmares would be a nice reward). A super lantern, or putting the jewel inside mushroom lights to give them a huge light radius (like Obsidian Fire Pit).

Not necessarily related to the lunar questline, but at the end of rifts, I'd like for us to get the ultimate tool (pick/axe/shovel/hoe/pitchfork/oar/hammer/reaper).

I will say I was hyped for terramites until I saw they were pretty much only good for trees? AFAIK they're slow with rocks and they ignore grass and twigs, despite being clearly capable of harvesting them.

Might be crazy, but I would like if they harvested everything; trees, twigs, grass, farm crops, etc. (maybe not exotic trees)

And I'd like if you could "refuel" them with phasmo-encapsulators. Would give you a reason to keep making those, and while that might be expensive, it's cheaper than having to defeat WARBOT and the Celestial Scion again. The auto-mato-chanic would probably be the most bearable option though.
