Changes

  • Updated Celestial Scion’s dash behaviour in the latter part of the fight.
  • Celestial Scion’s damaging ground field will grow slightly when repeatedly hitting the same area near the edge of the arena.
  • Added in Celestial Scion’s death sequence.
    • Some speech lines from the Grainy Transmission are still missing.
  • Added boss music.
  • Lunar questline has been adjusted accordingly after defeating Celestial Scion.
  • Inimical Gestalts will now drop Pure Brilliance.
  • Fully upgraded Enlightened Crown attracts Inimical Gestalts.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed certain dash and teleport abilities letting players pass through the arena barrier.
  • Fixed crash when mounted during Celestial Scion fight.
  • Fixed Moongleams hitting non-targetable things.
  • Fixed Celestial Scion’s special attack damage calculations to account for players’ inherent planar defense, e.g. Wigfrid’s Mystic Resilience.

explain to me how and why TELEPORTING sould not work? its teleporting, it sould not care if there is any kind of wall since again...YOU TELEPORT, walls are just a mere suggestion if you can teleport

  There are numerous ways to bypass the barrier. I don't believe hastily closing the beta test will fix all these methods. Once I get past the barrier, I can easily cheese the Boss with ranged attacks.

I agree. I mean considering CC's difficulty how is this the conclusion of the lunar quest line? I feel like Scion needs to be at least 40% faster.... same applies for warbot... maybe Scion is invisible as he dashes so you cannot see it unless you are wearing some special item maybe? I dunno. Something feels missing here.

He has like two attacks, it's impossible not to feel like something is missing with the boss in this state to be honest, Jazzy makes some things seem easy but this felt like a fight against Deerclops in which the ice stays on the ground so you have to pay attention to that, and he does a dash that doesn't seem very impressive at all

People that are on boats or anything else that cheeses the boss should get Biden Blasted by the lunar beam from above tbh.

they can just make it so ranged attacks can't go through the barrier.

Anti-magic technology or something. Plenty of games that have teleportation utilize this method of balance as to keep areas important or ensure boss fights are challenging in some way. (Example: Lords cannot teleport past the Great Bastion in Total War: Warhammer 3, they have to attack the bastion and raze or own the settlement wall segment before being allowed to.)

I don't think we've seen the last of him. I'm not convinced he's dead by the boss's death animation alone. If he left behind a skeleton or something, maybe. Time will tell though. I wouldn't get too worried though
