Frosty_Mentos
Generally they are an extremely powerful food, nightmarefuel and beard hair source along with tons of morsels. Since introduction of banana bushes I think monkeys should get nerfed the way bunnymen were, just to not make ruins too much of a food heaven. In return, we should get a buff to farming berry bushes as well as banana bushes, making larger quantities from proper quality fertilizer uses. Fig goop should also upgrade those plants permanently. Well-met
Uh, no. Cave monkeys are designed around the danger of nightmare phase. If anything its the bushes you should be nerfing. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166296-controvercial-opinion-nerf-monkeys-from-dropping-bananas-or-less/#findComment-1820972 Share on other sites
00petar00
Bunnymen nerf was terrible, pigmen aren't even worth killing much unless you really need pig skin or have a decent pig farm and kill them on full moon. This encourages people to hammer their houses instead so when someone wants pigmen or bunnymen and joins later it is usually harder to get. Most people that are trying to rush a boss or ruins will hammer a few to make alchemy engine and because killing pigmen for their skin isn't that fast early on when you don't have a decent weapon and it is luck dependent. Bunnymen changes should be reverted and pigmen should always drop at least 1 pig skin and 1 meat, for pigmen this can be compensated by buffing them a little. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166296-controvercial-opinion-nerf-monkeys-from-dropping-bananas-or-less/#findComment-1821002 Share on other sites

I go down there once whilst on a beefalo or if ruins are close enough then I have a supply of bananas + morsels for days stored into bundles or saltbox. Daiquiri is powerful in winter. Most new players won't even bother slaughtering splumonkeys, especially during the wild phase or nightmare cycle. If you like that thing, then good for you. But don't ever ask for it to be nerfed since even you (and other experienced players) still depend on them. I do that more outa convenience cause of the option the game has given. If there were better production methods for farms I would use it instead. It's where bunnies were nerfed and farms were changed and buffed greatly being the sole reason why I like farms a lot. It is also why I use renewable forageable foods as easiest solutions instead of working hard for something. Me using these things don't exactly mean 'i like doing it' cause I'm frankly neutral to it to sometimes negative about it, unless the method feels fun and innovative ig. The suggestion I'm making is a trade for making farm plants that exist to feel like how they added juicy berries, but through getting good fertilizers they'd thrive even better. While I'm not usually in for nerfing things these days, but having to work for high tier food is something I always wanted since RWYS update. Banana recipes are very high tier medium to little effort when it comes to just visiting ruins for a day. Monkeys are still extremely useful for fuel beard and meat farming so... I disagree, they are dangerous for a reason and the drops are well balanced for a good reward when and if you know how to defend yourself. If anything I would ask for Bunnymen to be unnerfed. Rn having a bunnymen farm is just very underwhelming. Maybe Bunnymen unnerf deserves a new thread.
