Fixed the Lumb and Lumblet's Critter Cargo Bay rocket module animations, which were not showing up in game. Fixed a bug where fertilizing or pollinating Ovagro vines was increasing only the vine's growth, and not the growth of the fruit on that vine. Fixed incorrect Ovagro Fig kcal in Effects panel when selecting the Ovagro Vine. Fixed a bug in the Farming overlay where the progress bar representing growth for Ovagro vines was showing only the growth state of the vine’s body and not the growth state of the fruit on the vine. Fixed a crash that occurred when deconstructing a building built on top of a plant in Sandbox Mode. Fixed Mimikas not being wrangable or movable. Fixed Gnits not being capturable at critter pick-ups. Gnits can no longer be groomed. Demolior's notification tooltip now refreshes while visible. Fixed a visual glitch in the "Calculating Impact Zone" sequence. Database The Ovagro vine link in the Lumb's details panel now correctly links to the plant's database entry. The Feather Biome description now correctly states that the Rhex's meat is too tough to be eaten raw, not the Dartle's. The Ovagro database entry no longer implies that Ovagro could push out other plants. The link to Feather Fiber in the Rhex's description now correctly links to the Feather Fiber database entry. The Wetlands Biome's description now mentions only Polluted Water pools. Added missing entry for Seakomb Leaf in the Industrial Ingredients category. 671603 Fixed crash that could occur when launching the base game with PPP content. Tigin
Blast Line of Defense on Imminent Extinction difficulty just got a lot tougher with the reduction to the Seakomb-to-Phyto Oil conversion ratio. It'll be hard to get the 80 or so harvests with just seaweed now. imazined
More importantly about the changes to seaweed it makes Biodiesel outside of the Demolinor challenge mostly uninteresting for many potential applications. I thought it was supposed to be an petroleum power alternative like ethanol cut with this conversion rate it's simply not usable. I guess it's back to the usual old builds for colonies on the outer asteroids. 6 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818334 Share on other sites

Biodiesel had potential to be decent alternative for power and tbh it still can be with more effort LOL, BUT Seaweed takes Polluted Dirt. Altho the Wetlands Biome do have a good amount of Polluted Dirt, it is pain to get it renewably and only renewable source is ethanol distillers and at the point why even use Biodiesel for power(unless feeding ethanol to Nosh or Squash). With this change Besides the Last Defense Challenge, the Biodiesel is now reduce to just being gear oil for Boops and a source of Tallow which isnt bad but still. 3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818341 Share on other sites
theldo123
Darn, that Seakomb fix really hurts. Now it's hard to justify using. If polluted dirt was easy to get renewably and that can scale I'd be fine with this, but the only way to get polluted dirt in the quantities needed really is just "make the better petroleum generator liquid" in ethanol. And biodiesel also costs bleach stone! I think that this will be an excessive nerf. I could see increasing the efficiency a little bit so biodiesel isn't a pain, something like 30-50kg of leaf to 100kg of phyto oil, but 100kg -> 100kg is way too little without making the seakomb much cheaper to grow. 3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818348 Share on other sites

Primalflower
Can there be some kind of compromise met with seakomb? I liked the state it was in before the change and i would be willing to maybe sacrifice some other element alongside seakomb to make phyto oil, it just kind of sucks that there was this interesting thing and now it is not as compelling. 5 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818352 Share on other sites

Electroely
I think the output of the Seakomb plant needs to be increased significantly. 10kg/cycle of polluted dirt for 10kg/cycle of Phyto Oil is way too small of an amount, especially taking into consideration how hard it is to renew polluted dirt (and how you'd just be producing another combustible liquid through that process in the first place) This is especially relevant for the Demolior - you need 9600kg of biodeisel, which takes 7680kg phyto oil. For a single plant to grow that much, it took 76.8 cycles before, but now it's 768 cycles. Even with 10 plants - and my planet did NOT generate with 10 seakomb plants - that would still be 77 cycles of sitting there and waiting for seakombs to grow. The 1:1 conversion rate for polluted dirt to phyto oil (on top of having to produce bleach stone using salt & chlorine or brine ice) makes using it as a power source very convoluted and not at all worthwhile to me. Perhaps increasing the growth rate or amount produced so that it produces 50kg/cycle of seakomb for 10kg/cycle of polluted dirt would be good. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818359 Share on other sites

kurosolo
For now, the duration of Rhexes' "Well Ate" buff and the mass of brine ice they excrete is always related to the mass of the critter they prey on, not the amount of meat they swallow, or how hungry they are. Example : When any Rhex preyed on a bammini (400 kg), it always gives 400 kg of brine ice, and gains a 32-cycle "Well Ate" buff. Also the amount of meat they take in seems not accurate: A starving Rhex should take in 8000 kcal of meat, however it spit out 15400 kcal when preying on the bammini with 22400 kcal (in other words, only 7000 kcal of meat is swallowed). PHG
Would be nice if we got more higher-quality foods using the Tough equivalent of Meat and Fillets! They're accessible early on Relica so their simple cooked forms can't be that high, but since they're pretty hard to mass produce for multiple dupes...maybe a Tough Meat equivalent of Surf n' Turf with Quality 5? Maybe even take this chance to expand on Saturn Critter Traps and make a new Quality 6 Food that requires both Tough meats + Plant Meat...the possibilities with food are endless! 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/165991-game-update-the-prehistoric-planet-pack-dlc-671500-671603/#findComment-1818430 Share on other sites

purpleposeidon
If a Jawbo Fillet is "edible, but just barely" why is its quality Good [+3]? The "Blast Line of Defense" achievement didn't unlock. There are still broken links & missing entries in the Database. You should scan it at startup and show a message of what's missing; it is a simple function to implement. The scan should include links from the contents of the properties menu in addition to the "View full entry in database" button, as well as recursively the entries themselves. I tried a 100-cycle impact (admittedly pre-Seakomb fix) and found it more tedious than challenging. On this playthrough the asteroid spawned at the temporal tear. Lucky. I've been trying to think of some way to have the asteroid have regenerating health, and for the blastshot to delay the thing, so that farming it could be possible. But I don't think it can be done.
