i have no idea what this is supposed to mean. is your base really so big you cannot run out of it when needed?

Exactly and mine isnt as big as the base from many other players neither i want to be limited in creativity for a mild at most challenge

I am actually worried for you if you can't run out of your base in under a minute from the sheer size.

the warning's 30 seconds unless they made it longer if it's going to spawn big worm instead of a normal worm

And I’m worried people don’t know how to build battle arenas (which they can decorate and make look really freaking cool and a natural part of their base) so they don’t HAVE to run from enemies that come to their base.

Thats what I do for Firehounds, I can’t be bothered with using Flingomachines, on top of killing the firehounds, it also puts out my campfires which I may had needed to prevent winter freezing or darkness.

So I’ve now just cleared out an entire nearby area emptied it of anything that could catch fire or spread to my base, and kill them out in the open.

I’ll do the same with Deerclops and now also this Giant Worm.

I don’t need 2 minutes of warning time to flea out of my entire base.

I actually would like to see people create designated “Arenas” Mad Max style or something like that, Scrap Walls and bone piles torch lights or whatever, etc…

It Would be fancy & neat to look at! :love_heart:

This felt unusually snobbish but anyways.

I understand the concept of a big base. I think everyone can do that.

My issue is I'm struggling how you can 1. Have a base thats that large (in caves no less) and 2. Not see how this coulddd be your fault for having said large base

surf n turf. I get excited when they come. Besides, you don't need to interact with rockjaws. Just sail away.

My favorite part about the rockjaw is that it just swims away after you’ve committed to wasting resources on fighting it. Excellent mob.

It helps to pick up on how they work. They'll screw off if they can't get any hits in.
So, when they show up, if you dodge enough they'll actually drop aggro and leave. Otherwise if a hit gets in, they'll keep going.

"git bad, lol"

I just can't understand how this Giant Worm doesn't drop something unique. With the Pugalisk, it was possible to obtain the Pugalisk Wand.
The worm is totally pointless rn

Varglets dont drop anything unique

They can make it so it drops more berries so they will be as "pointless" as regular worns

I think the worm is pretty cool. I need to lead one to the ruins and watch those bishops get shredded. He already carved up some rift enemies for me.

The worm doesn't need a unique drop. The 40 bone shards are unique enough and some enemies are more useful alive than dead, like Bearager and Varg. Contain your inner loot goblin.

I need to get ahead of this, because this is really bad information, and I don't really want to acknowledge the poster, causing a whole argument.

If you are reading this, don't do do this. I don't like to say anyone is playing the game wrong, but if you lead a worm king through your ruins, you definitely aren't playing the game right.

The worm king will eat whatever it's mouth collides with and that may include green gems. Also, there is no guarantee that you are going to more seamlessly dispatch bishops and I would imagine you're going to endure more hits by the efforts of the bishop. You really can't compare the utility of a live varg and bearger, with the latter being more safer to use dead than alive, ironically.

So yeah, don't listen to this information. The worm king is not worth anything alive and calling it a liability is an understatement. It's an unwanted danger. Not unlike a toaster surrounded by forks at a day care center.

It's one of my favorite mob behaviors in the game. A rockjaw is already putting up a pretty big risk by jumping on a boat to hunt a land creature like the survivors, so if that hunt doesn't seem fruitful and it can't even manage to get a hit on you, it's going to go back out to sea and find an easier meal. It feels like I'm actually interacting with a real animal, which is really cool!!

Absolutely this!! Ocean mobs have some of the most indepth A.I, absolutely the most lively of places. Seeing mobs like Rockjaws, Otters, Squids, and even spiders actively fishing, and the interactions with the Rockjaws themselves deciding if a hunt is worth it or not is like, the coolest thing ever.

Depends really sure it can cause risks of eating stuff but considering how efficient is it at killing seems like a worthy risk if you want a easy kill or 2.

Uh, no. It really isn't. Considering how seldom it spawns. If you want to go the way of taking a "boss" to the ruins to do your dirty work, you could just use the animated skeleton, and even then, it's foolhardy as hell, but even more effective than the worm. Even just standard depths worm stick around long enough to do work against bishops. But honestly, the whole theme around the request of leaving the worm king be as is with no additional drops is clearly motivated by pure spite.

Spite against me perhaps, but spite against people who base in the caves. There's also spite against people who see the mission statement of "Uncompromising" be a little arbitrary.

It's all spite. Spite spite spite. Don't pretend that it's not. People can't admit that I'm right because they hate me.

It needs a better warning system and wind up but I don't really see why it needs better rewards not everything you do in this game needs to shower you with rewards for every other step you take and it's not like what it already drops is completely useless either.

Disagreeing with you doesn't mean everyone just wants to spite you or hate cave basers this is starting to just read as I'm right and anyone who disagrees with me is only doing so because they have ill intentions.

The sky is blue, the ocean has fish and birds soar through the air.

And by the way, I'm still right about stone bridges with unlimited range being added into the game. That much hasn't changed.

I'm still right about ceiling suspended rope bridges being nonsense and I'm still right that caves traversal is so bad, that it's not worth living there full time. That compounds with the sheer lack of reward now compared to the danger whose solution is inconveniencing yourself by "waiting" for your problems to go away.

I don't like that kind of game design, and I can only hope that valheim doesn't cook my PC to the point where I return to this wretched game.

I am taking a break from this game. The longer it lasts, the better, but that won't stop me from highlighting what was the catalyst of that break to begin with.

The problems that I highlight don't go away. I can still continue to make suggestions to address the problems the game has.

Even when Wigfrid got her rework, not skill tree, but rework to add "Songs" into the game that no one actually really enjoyed, that whole rework should have been the elding spear.

I was right about her songs being a bit of a meme rework compared to others, and the rectification came years after that.

Don't try to take the condescending angle on me. The worm sucks, and I don't care what you think of me.

This is not a healthy mindset. I don't have a issue with you making suggestions and the like but assuming everyone against those ideas are simply out to get you harms what you're trying to present.

Also it's up to the devs to decide what is right and wrong not us we just try to give our takes on the matter regardless of how much it may annoy us at times.
