New Post Rift Weapons: Gloommerang - Amazing addition to the game and beautiful Design (I don't know if anybody noticed, but it also gives 10% speedboost like a thulecite club!). The only thing I feel about this weapon is that the damage should be a little bit higher. Usually hitting enemies will make them go near you and this makes the weapon deal significantly less damage, making it a better option to just smash the enemy with a melee weapon than trying to kite the enemy. The weapon is amazing with stationary enemies though (however, there are not so many of them at the moment). Shadow Maul - Another amazing addition to the game. The only thing I could wish for this weapon is to be useful for other stuff like smashing boulders or even cutting trees. We are getting so many items with no improvements for inventory slots that we have to carry a lot of stuff at the moment. Beefalo Gloom Bell - Very good item. But at the moment we get it we might already have a beefalo with a default bell. My only suggestion would be to, instead of carrying two bells, make an item that transforms the default bell into this new gloom bell ( I am not sure if we can get rid of the old bell and use the gloom bell instead). Nightmare Saddle - Nothing to say about it. Amazing item and I loved the footprint detail. Removal of Void Walking - We've come to the polemic mechanic that everyone makes to go to the atrium ASAP. Usually the best method is to void walk to the atrium or simply wear a moogles and reach the atrium platform with the help a lazy explorer. My suggestion to make people want to investigate the tentacle pillars is to have a visual clue in the tentacle that indicates this is the pillar that leads you to the atrium. Maybe some nightmare fuel leaking? I don't know.... Depth Worm Boss - The design is SICKENING!!!!!! My favorite so far. It will obviously be adjusted since the numbers are too OP for his HP and damage. Please make it drop more interesting items like lots of glow berries or even a lichen to replant in our base. Benevolent Rabbit King - Really cute, I would like to keep it as a pet. However, the burrowing horn is a finer reward than the rabid king crook. As far as I can tell (there is no description for the crook), it is just a tentacle spike with 25% more durability. The burrowing horn is an amazing addition, however I think the durability should be drastically improved. The rabid king crook should have another feature (maybe more range? an ability to jump like the rabbit king) otherwise nobody will be encouraged to try to fight the rabbid version. This update is really exciting and I can't wait for more! Thank you Klei! It's unreal to me that they're naming one single thing that void walking patches up in the complete headache which is traversing caves to begin with. It's a broken record; "People only void walk to get to the atrium" Nah, guy. The caves network is one of the worst places to traverse due to how slow it is and void walking could be treated as a simple time saver. Fleeing to the void at low heath is one of the most riskiest things you can do because a death means goodbye krampus sack, goodbye bearger bin, goodbye howlitzer, goodbye atrium. Yeah, it's not even just the atrium that's affected. Hell, more often than not, you get an atrium spawn that is next to a caves branch you can just teleport to. The absolute oversimplification of the role voidwalking played is astounding to me, and quite frankly, ignorant. And what do we get to patch this all up? A flimsy little plank bridge that does pretty much nothing. It's a more expensive winona bridge that lasts until the next few earthquakes. How spoiled we are to have this in the game. I feel like Mary Freakin Poppins. Add stone bridges. Considering the attack speed I feel like this is a fine drawback and a reason to mix it up with melee attacks. Max upgrade it chops like a moonglass axe, it will be an amazing addition for caves, toad will become way more manageable, you could use it to farm a **** ton of mushtrees in minutes, and it will free a lot of inventory slots considering that is a repairable weapon AND tool at the same time. That, or an attack animation speed buff to help maintain a further distance.
