We as old veterans are angry and regret that you again broke something and do not listen at all to the requests of players. loopuleasa Posted July 4, 2024 Share Posted July 4, 2024 Breaking old farm designs is not something Klei should care. The game is about figuring out how to use the game to do your bidding. We just got new content, time to figure out new farm designs. The catapults are much stronger and Winona's kit is much more expanded. Creative players will take Winona to newer heights. You just have to arm them one by one when they're in sleep mode. And if every game update needs to serve the factory, then what is there to serve Winona's players? There’s a lot of unique farm contraptions people like and I know a lot of people would be very unhappy if they did break, especially solo players. Part of the reason people wanted catapults to be usable by others is 1-2 were used in a lot of farms as it’s one of the only realistic ways to do AOE universally. Klei’s approach to fixing it (nerfing it mildly for non Winona’s by still making them usable but slightly reducing the AOE and needing a bit of time to arm them) while simultaneously making Winona way better at utilizing her catapults was a great middle ground solution to this. Old farm designs that used less than ~8 catapults were pretty much still usable as is, while Winona had dominating use of being able to use far more. Really the only thing this impacts is reducing how effective non Winona’s can use mass catapults for boss farms, which I am totally okay with (especially since still having a few makes fights like weaver’s/bee queen’s minions considerably easier but doesn’t completely neutralize the bosses themselves).
