hhhhddh
Creatures die faster when they are wet, but why fishes? And it also make Wurt keep her fish pet shorter, due to the wet skilltree perks. Btw, why can't Wurt feed her fish? She concider the fishes as a pet, but why would you never feed your pet? Please make fishes lifetime not influenced by wetness, and make Wurt can feed fishes. Random Guy000
I'd guess that they could just make the spoilage timer modifier 0.75 or smth for fish specifically, shouldn't be a hassle Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157517-why-fishes-die-faster-when-they-are-wet/#findComment-1729117 Share on other sites
NPCMaxwell
Save the fishies [I love their design. The regular pond fish have such cute eyes] If they are pets to Wurt she could keep them save and fed. hoxi
Pretty sure it's an oversight from when pond fishes got changed from basically being raw fish, instead of having a different state like now. It'd be an easy fix though, just needs to be pointed out more (like here) or reported as a bug. There's a sorta similar bit with ocean fish that this reminded me of, where the Tin Fishin' Bin doesn't keep them wet, despite that being implied as it's why it restores their "spoilage" and they can live while in it. It'd be doable to implement with a few small changes to 4 files at minimum. It can technically be considered a bug or oversight given that ocean fish aren't affected the same way by being wet. That said, pond fish also aren't, I might've been thinking of singleplayer Don't Starve, so that's my bad. BeastNleashed
Yeah and i mean you can also feed moles, birds, everything. but it anway doesnt make sense because FISH die outside of water, and if you love them so much why would you take them in your pocket? this is cruel you will kill them Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157517-why-fishes-die-faster-when-they-are-wet/#findComment-1729160 Share on other sites

Spoilage is correctly not affected on both pond fish and ocean fish. That said, there's an argument to be had about making wetness slow down spoilage of fishes that are alive, the discussion should probably be changed to that, since what you're asking for is already the case. 2 minutes ago, chirsg said: You wanna know what the kicker is? hhhhddh
huh then problem 1 solved, my fault. It comes to the pet problem, why can't pond fish put into Fish Scale-O-Matic, you know, as a pet, if we eventually kill pond fishes for putting them into inventory. Or just let Wurt can feed them, or for only pond fish Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157517-why-fishes-die-faster-when-they-are-wet/#findComment-1729173 Share on other sites

chirsg
I think we should get a new version of tin fishin bin that allowed us to feed fish, not unlike the birdcage. Main purpose being that it periodically makes the fish grow bigger. And perhaps letting the fish produce roe.
