Charlie's Path (Winona skill tree)

Recommended Posts

The lunar capstone for teleporting seems far stronger than the shadow counterpart, due to the simple fact that you can use the lunar telepads in the caves, whereas you can't use the shadow wormhole redirection in the caves.

Shouldn't tentapillar pits work the same way as wormholes do, when Winona has the shadow capstone perks? This would mostly balance things out, specially in the late game.

You still need to have already explored exits in order to select them, so it's not like Winona will jump to the atrium on day one anyway (at least not with what this perk does)

As a side note, I think its fair that nobody else can use telepads since they are amazing, but it would be interesting to explore the possibility that when Winona redirects a wormhole, it remains with that configuration for a few seconds after she used it (a short time window, like 5 seconds). So that way, the shadow path would be multiplayer friendly, increasing its attractiveness under some conditions, and thus making the decision to go either lunar or shadow, harder.

Ngl it's extremely weird how the simple design of teleporters is this powerful anywhere while Charlie's powers are extremely detailed and complicated that it has very little to no use underground. Tentapillar teleportation would do good enough I suppose. The queen is being stingy on the powers she offers while being a tryhard at making it look cool and all.

The problem with that is, that traveling in between kills the receiving end tentapillar, I am not against this, but it needs to effect differently, perhaps linking only to two tentapillars and can't unlink till they respawn

This is easy to solve. When you check Big Tentacle with your glasses and decide to teleport. A Shadow Hand will emerge from the ground, pick you up and take you to a designated location near Big Tentacle. This is the perfect solution.

I also think shadow seeker I is just not all that great. With Founder's Keepers I you get a Winbot and access to calibrated perceivers which I think are a bit underrated. In multi-player getting access to constructing blueprint recipes without killing the boss is quite handy. You can also use it to prototype objects you find in the world like the pan flute. You could even kill the shadow chess piece set and prototype a dark sword/night armor without ever crafting a shadow manipulator or prestihatitator.

I think the shadow seeker skills should both offer a little more, especially in the caves.

Klei probably thinking having no need for light is strong enough to compete against super teleportation

Well it’s not like you can do anything in the dark it’s just Charlie won’t attack it’s not gonna allow you to do actions like chopping mining or being able to effectively move so that part of her affinity kinda isn’t very useful
