About the characters in DS that have not yet been ported

If Klei still needs to transplant a character to DST, who would you like it to be.
I personally like Wilba and brought along Pigman Technology when transplanting to DST.

The last thing the game needs is an update to add  characters that doesnt fit esthetically and mechanically which need a refresh in their perks and the addition of a skill tree to simply devalue the fun and uniqueness of playing single player

If they're cooking anything more content wise or some bigger project, at least for a while. I don't mind more characters, but not for a while rn... Current cast feels enough.

As tired as people are of character updates. I personally feel like a character who's focused on sailing would make a lot of sense given that it's a largely unfilled niche. As such, I'd most like to see Woodlegs get added to DST.

Can you guys believe we've been in the character refresh era since 2019? I still remember the announcement, the hype was off the charts. How time flies!

In fact, the true role update was three years ago, when Wanda had just emerged.
Klei has changed the updated content in the past three years. Character reset and skill tree occupy too many resources.
I'm not saying this is bad, after all, resetting some characters is important, but it's too slow. Originally, upon seeing this year's roadmap, I was optimistic that the skill tree would soon be updated and there would be more world updates. But I was wrong. Not only did it not accelerate, but it also slowed down the update of the skill tree due to the decrease in update frequency. At this speed, Klei will only be able to update all the skill trees in the second half of next year, which will also delay a lot of resources.
Unfortunately, the character updates that were supposed to excite players are now annoying and will last for at least a year.

There’s no one that’s interesting enough for the world of DST.

An Ocean specialist would make sense if it made sense to live mostly on the Ocean. But that doesn’t make sense right now. The Ocean is a loot area.

Current beta is what happens when we "get both", aka a character focused update with very little environment update
