The Pugalisk could get a Caveworm "skin" would imo make for an amazing addition to the cave roster of bosses in DST.

The reward could be 1-3 glowberries and some lichen root that you can plant yourself.

Thematically I also think Ancient Herald would be very fitting. Now that we have rifts in the caves, and the Ink Blights that are seemingly dressed in the same tatters as the Ancient Herald.

I don't think adding bosses from the DLCs to DST would take away from the DLCs viability to play them over DST. At least not for me personally. I don't play SW or Hamlet because I specifically wanna face off the Quaken or the Iron Hulk. I play them because the world and the mechanics are fundementally different and the whole feeling is just like a different world. I would still play them.

Wormwood was added from Hamlet to DST. I don't play him in DST, I still do play him in Hamlet, cause the way he intereacts with all the hostile plant flora there makes him way more interesting to me than just the "farming bot" that he is in DST.

I dont think carrying content over into DST, takes away from the single player DLCs.

iron hulk is such a cool fight that translates very well into multiplayer. One of the best fights ever design by klei, shame their low HP. Plus their iron man suit would be more useful than in DS

they can make a thulecite variant, anyways they are rewriting the lore...

I totally get you man, nothing will EVER give me this unique feeling of these DLCs. The bosses are delicious fruits on top of the cake that is don't starve.

I made this poll just by curiosity, and let people talk about bosses and whatever.

How come people think the pugalisk fits dst? It doesnt fit with the style, and is tied to the fountain of youth.

Sealnado would make the most sense since it fits the dull dark tone of dst.

the style of the fight fits a solo and multiplayer environment plus is unique. I dont think nobody is asking for a 1:1 port but something like rhovious suggestion

Iron hulk and Ancient Herald (both reworked of course) would be great as new rift bosses for surface and caves respectively, given that now we have both the ink trio and the "Wagstaff setpiece" that drop materials similar to theirs.

And an worm-like boss at caves would be good too! I really think that Pugalisk fight mechanics are great.

Pugalisk, a hard fight even with a speed boost, impossible fight without speed boost. Too hard for single player, too easy for multi player. Needs fundamental AI rework to suit DST.

Iron Hulk, fancy design and terrible gaming experience. Skills are randomly used and unrelated to each other in actual fights, though they seem to. Need fundamental AI rework to suit DST.

Herald, worst battle in DS. Nothing can save it.

Sealnado, suitable art design and fighting experience. Could have a buff/rework if its to be added in DST.

Quacken and Tiger Shark, I expect NO nice battle on a boat. Klei is sure to make them another pile of garbage like CK, Rockjaw and Seaweed.

I don't want any of them ported to DST, aside from... MAYBE Herald.

Now, their concepts/ideas? Yes please!

I'd love to see a Daywalker sort of ordeal where we face off against a Pugalisk-style jacked Depths Worm. Oh, yes please!

Another sort of complex boss that you slowly piece together like the Iron Hulk would be very nifty, as well. Mechanically complex and interesting!

wat

I feel like Hamlet bosses are tied way too close with their DLC lore and world. Sure, Herald now has deeper connection with DST because of the tatters and all, but it's still very much an aporkalypse phenomenon. He'd need some solid lore dump to appear in DST. Unless, of course, we can have any boss from there because it fell off and splattered on the mainland. Got revived somehow. (I'm imagining cartoon style animation where queen Woman's just falls through the floor and falls on Klaus, his amulet revives her because it somehow broke and fell on her and that's why she's in main game now lmao)

Shipwrecked mobs and bosses however, are more than fair game. We already got Warly sailing in from there, and I just got the idea of volcanic ash and debris forming an island in DST and holy crap it doesn't even have to have anything from SW on it, just the lore reason it's there would be so cool.

I voted for Tiger shark because I love her and Tiger shark Doo Doo Doo Doo

Tiger shark or sealnado would be so cool. But i know they'll never do it cause we literally had year of the tiger and we got catcoons for it.

I wouldn't say no to more ocean bosses, I could definitely see Quacken or Tiger shark being good additions, although the latter's loot would have to be changed quite substantially.

For tiger shark it's not just the loot either, the fight has to be drastically changed too. The leap into air attack would need to be removed. And she's too fast for the DST boats to fight in water. And too large to fight on the boat.
