Not just about the circuits, as of last time I checked the beta is completely borked to where any non-player mob eating will crash the server. I'm reverted back to the normal version for now until I hear this has been fixed in the playable beta rather than just in unreleased development builds.

Sigh...WAGSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eww, don't say his name like that, man deserves to be forgotten. Bad as Alter might wind up being, I'll cheer for a Lovecraftian moon deity over a rich capitalist any day of the week...

Fortunately I don't have to make the choice though, cause I always liked the Shadow aesthetic better anyway.

Only icky part about the Shadow side is I doubt Charlie will fare much better than W*gst*ff did in the ultimate end of their respective questlines... I mean sure she's the scary night monster and everything, but she looked like she was having regrets last time we saw her in a trailer... I think she realizes now that the entity on the other end of the shadow portal was only using her and that she made a grave mistake repairing it. Based on how the foreshadowing bit of that trailer was animated, my theory for what the endgame shadow boss is, is that it's literally Charlie possessed by a souped-up variant of Void Masque.

I don't think Wagstaff is the type to care about capital (So far as to when it stops being useful to his research). He stole and was a conman (Sold snake oil probably knowing it had no benefits) but I think wealth was always a means to an end for him. Doesn't feel like his defining characteristic is money hungry capitalism. Who knows, maybe working for Voxola paid generously and was great with lot's of perks, maybe that's why Winona was so afraid to lose her boss 😁. He is greedy and evil in a different way, more about knowledge and the power in it. Imo, sorry for being a Wag apologist.

He possibly wants fame and recognition?

I thought he was made in the image of Albert Einstein.
Not wanting recognition, but rather he is driven by curiosity.
(although, Wagstaff is more evil and is willing to sacrifice others)

He really wants to change the world, judging by his quotes for nightmare fuel and receiving an enlightened shard.

He seemed very interested in bringing nightmare fuel back with him, despite the risks. (Risks that he might actually be aware of, by the way, since he knows about the ancients.)

Dont forget that he creates weapons of mass destruction like W.A.R.B.O.T.
no matter how evil he is, if he will be playable character (maybe like Wonkey), then I will let Klei have my soul.

What? That’s weird Klei said specifically that follower clockworks will follow through shards.

They log out with you

Yeah, the wording on the first patch tricked me into thinking that aswell. This is what it says on the update notes though.

Idk what that last part is about.

He would have it after Voxola, but he kept searching for more. No one would go through those lengths just for glory. He also didn't just find another dimension and go public with it, he was secretive about it.

Seems more like Thomas Edison. Would electrocute a koalaphant with alternating current to discredit his competitors.

Probably takes personal credit for inventions from Voxola R&D.

It means clockworks won't be hostile when you return.

If he went public, competitors could get there first and invent a bunch of stuff. Then Wagstaff would just be that one guy who used to build radios, because the projector shows that Maxwell reached the Constant first.

oh wow still no lunar/shadow skills.

just how big are they going to be lmaooo its kinda scary, if they're that impactful/deep enough to still keep working on them makes me wonder if they're gonna be too op

they can be probably attached to gamma circuts so that's why it's taking so long
