Its not WX bias they are just changing the way they do skilltrees and it happens to be him

Maybe.. but not counting the highly disappointing December update, October was the last decent update to the game, and now in APRIL the only thing we will be getting is some new critter you can only redeem for Klei points & one singular WX78 skill tree.

This is what we get for the official 10 year anniversary of DST?? And here I was thinking we would get a big update like DS got for its 10yr anniversary. 😂

Oh well, guess I’ll play Entropy Effect X, Then Lego Batman 4, THEN GTA 6 before DST gets exciting updates again. 😒

Really hoping they'll go back and touch up some of the older trees if they've realized this is is an issue. Wendy's and Wormwood's trees have solid foundations but they're woefully undertuned and Wolfgang&Wilsons are just kinda boring.

YES WENDY ESPECIALLY but also wilson cause the whole skill tree was going to be his thing alone as a character rework but everyone has it now (the entire torch tree is fundamentally useless not even new players use it)

Nah its not tencent i think. Its just their direction for the game that comes into play.

I imagine tencent would only poke into skin stuff, or just makes the china community voices be heard more

I know the community pointed out that Klei started branching out and publishing more games, which could have spread their resources and staff thin. I don't remember if Klei ever confirmed or denied that, but I do feel like less people are working on DST. It's understandable but also disappointing.

I hope that since the story seems to be reaching a conclusion, they can give DST some extra love like the old days, just to finish up the character trees and story (and playable Charlie/Wagstaff), and then go back to publishing other games while a smaller group keeps creating DST content.

I don't know why, but it felt nice reading this almost as if it was confirmed that it's gonna be like that, I do hope that it will be like that tho.

The thing that annoys me the most is that a lot of the “cool” looking skins, could have been used to make new biomes or redesign & improve the look of existing ones.

I’m mainly talking about the bush skins, but even the “Bulbkin” could have been a new mob of some sort.

i don't think it's weird, bc of the Wendy / Wortox / Walter&Woby skilltrees, they each got dedicated time during that one extended beta period, so singling out a single character's skilltree to focus on now, this makes total sense to me

if they're singling out to a single characters skill tree for betas then this either means ONE of these things and I sure as hell hope its not what I think it will be 

1. Skill trees/updates are gonna come quicker since they wont have to topple a lot of stuff but focus on a single one and finish it then immediately jump to the next
Or....
2. even less skill tree focus and more late game (please no for the love of shi-)
