I suspect they won't release Affinity at all. They'll start the second beta in 3-4 months, or after the new DST is released.

They dragged it out as long as they could. They'll just undo all the nerfs to WX-78 and release it as is. They don't have time...

If they release the beta today, then it’s still somewhat believable that they’ll make it in time. But if the beta doesn’t drop today…

It looks like they’re doing something interesting with affinity, but that also means they’ve got less than a week left to fix at least the bugs, not to mention balance…

eh they can also drop random patches to do that as well, like how they randomly buffed/nerfed 2 characters that one time in a random patch (that was long long ago)

The last beta dropped in the middle of the night - it was 4 AM for me. Now it’s 2 AM, so they’ve got about ±2 hours left.

well knowing klei and how they treat our feedback, they are probably testing some bugs and fixing some issues by now, my bet the update is "ready" already

WTF?? Still no affinities?!? I swear they better both be something game-changing on the level of Gestalt Abigail...

Making players wait this late in the beta for crappy perks will make Klei look like a bad company, and nobody wants a previously awesome game dev to get comfy with that image.

Please keep in mind that we are testing a beta. A new release will come when Klei wants to gauge the community's feelings and find bugs.

At this point by the time it releases we will have access to affinities for 2 and a half days at most before release. Combined with very few changes since the start of the beta, I really have to wonder what Klei is cooking exactly. Perhaps they’ve been spending this whole time taking it all in and working on it? for such an early beta, I don’t feel like this extra time was particularly beneficial for WX’s skill tree. It feels like this is how things would’ve turned out even if the beta did release later.

I think during a time like this we really could’ve benefitted from more communication from Klei, and I think a lot of the people here in the forum echo that sentiment. The Easter long weekend post was promising, but it’s been mostly radio silent since then. 

Maybe the next beta update will solve every single critique and make WX’s tree perfect for everyone. At this point though, Im getting the impression that our feedback wont be particularly valuable for the remainder of the beta

Yeah probably, I’m holding out patience and optimism but there are some inevitable concerns that I hope won’t become significant later. There’s just too much we don’t know about Klei and their work and progress, so it’s not reasonable to expect anything yet

to be honest we learned by now thats not really a good thing, at all really. sure you have to hide a lot of stuff but at least basic communication would be better instead of filling out the forums and the only type of answer we get is a vague answer with an emoji (the answer itself is only an emoji)
