Weirdness surrounding Woodies hidden "polite" perk I haven't heard anyone talk about.

Recommended Posts

I have always heard that Woodie's 'politeness' perk simply gave him 50% more loyalty from recruitable mobs, I swear that was even put on the Wiki at one point.

But that's not really true at all.

Bunnymen give you 50% more time from carrots, from 1 day per carrot to 1.5 days per carrot.

Rock Lobsters give you 33% more per rock item.

And Pigmen? They don't give you more loyalty per food item, or some multiplier, they have increased MAXIMUM loyalty time when recruited by Woodie.

You don't get any bonuses from giving Pigmen food as Woodie, you just have a higher loyalty cap. I don't really understand why they don't just give you a 33%~50% multiplier for food items. It seems needlessly complex, for a hidden perk.

This on top of him being neutral to werepigs and shadow creatures (while transformed) confirms he's the most beloved survivor of the constant.

are werepigs actually neutral to him????

even if you attack Werepigs they will refuse to ever attack you back.

That feature is a little strange, is this an oversight or intentional? Imagining Weremoose as a high-school bully pushing Werepigs against lockers...

I do believe it's intentional. I remember there being a line somewhere from one of the devs that said "Werepigs will try really hard not to attack Woodie in Wereform," although I don't recall exactly where or when so :P

EDIT: Found it:

If a huge moose standing on two hooves breathing visible steam from it's nose asked you for your lunch money you'd be scared too.

Its cool cause as a weremoose you can use a werepig army to help kill bee queen during a full moon (first winter full moon is nice an long).

How many werepigs do you need? Do they need armor? Won't they eat the Royal Jelly?

15 if you want to sit back and do nothing but watch, about 6-7 need football helmets (if a werepig dies all pigs rush to eat the remains reducing dps and leaves them open to attack which can cause a death chain)

And yes rip royal jelly...  but weremoose/woodie doesnt really need it anymore with the health regen skill

Speaking of weird perks, what does this supposed to mean? How does the description change region to region? Is this some console-exclusive thing?

Probably regions based on steam setting, meant to be a joke on the fact that Amercians and Canadians celebrate the same holiday (thanks giving) on different days. It's also a joke perk meant to just say he is canadian
