I thought that but I was just saying it wouldn’t be a very good idea to farm that way compared to killing spiders. They would probably still kill spiders as you’ll need their loot for other parts of the game as well as some of Webber’s crafts like spider eggs or switcherdoodles. What do you mean by “most of the things we put are needed, but they are useful and so is this”?

A spider den with a lightning rod on top that has a purple gem on top of it. Depends on how the revival item/structure looks like but the only idea I have for that is like a pentagon shaped wooden house with a few webs so with that design I guess like 3 boards, 4 silk, 2 bone shards, and 2 gold for a lightning rod.

Not quite sure what the main bit would look like yet but It would be made of silk and bone with this on top with the decorated den flag on top of that(or if we make the flag bigger this could be a finial) and maybe decorated den stickers

Though dropping spider glands on death isn’t really worth the insight nor is it exactly fun cause of the cost of reviving.

What if I combined with in the spirit of friendship to make:

  • In the spirit of friendship: When dying with 50% sanity or under Webber will drop 2 spider glands as well as Webber being able to command befriended spiders to attack things by haunting them, spiders will attack whatever killed Webber along with all befriended spiders not attacking players when Webber isn’t online

That could work. Though a question I might’ve forgot to ask before is why the 50% sanity thing?

Also about the other abilities in the skill. I think spiders not attacking Webber immediately after he leaves or dies should be a base perk as that more of a quality perk than a skill and once your dead the battle should be over unless you revive.

Ya but it doesn’t seem like they will make the Qol changes outside of skills

Oh I think they are guaranteed to drop them when haunted not when they are afraid in any situation. I believe that’s to get a telltale heart if you are a ghost.

Why not? They did a Qol change with 1 merm king working for both surface and caves on Wurt’s skill tree update.

That’s true, but also they also drop glands when they quivering outside of ghost encounters

I don’t think Webber should still be able to fight as a ghost by commanding his spiders though idk what other ability you would add to the skill so as long as that ability is only usable when you just died like Wendy’s ghost revenge skill then okay.

Why would the spiders be loyal to another survivor if their only reason to be friendly with survivors dies?

Because both are friends of Webber and the loyalty is in the spirit of Webber‘s friendship

They could become unloyal but for like a day or for a good amount of time be neutral to other players or creatures while they go back to their dens or fall a sleep.

Fear/sanity drain is how players react to the ghosts. Though is there a good gameplay reason for him to drop spider glands below 50% sanity? If he dies above that then the problem that this intends to fix still there.

In my experience Webber loses his sanity very quickly and struggles to bring it back up so it so adding free spider glands will elevate some of the burden when he inevitably dies 

Here’s the Alignments(ignore the planer damage bits i’m thinking about replacing them with any spider that wears a bright shade helm/void Cowl will cause the same amount of planer damage on top of the normal damage tell me what you think):

So long as the spiders after Webber’s death aren’t being commanded to do any work or combat then sure.

though maybe they shouldn’t follow him as he could bring them to places where they will attack things like pigs at pig farms and also you might lose spiders as you try to get to a touch stone if you cross paths with hostile creatures.

They could come to you once you revived. Also what do you mean by despawns with him.

Yeah but Wilson also has a beard and the only difference between both beards is the material. So if Webber drops his beard when he dies then so should Wilson.

If you’re playing multiplayer and if you die below 50% sanity then it does something. If you die above 50% sanity you get nothing which means that perk does little to nothing for those who keep their sanity high during battle.

The lunar spider says shadow spider and the ability to leap which doesn’t sound like it should be there so I’m assuming it’s a forgotten piece from a copy and paste.

I still think it should be nightmare fuel and moonglass or moonrock but I’m not interested in debating that again.

I also think that the Brightshade/void helm/cowl is expensive, can kind of limit how many planar spiders you have when you first enter rift content, and also double the damage is a lot.

I can’t think of a good ability related to moon rock and moon glasses already been used in a switcher doodle craft as well as nightmare fuel’s new equivalent, being infused moon glass from what I can tell

But then the perk that was intended to help you be “less of a burden” only works 1/4 of the time so then 75% of the time nothing changes.

If you are trying to move them is what I was originaly thinking but now that I think about it, unless you messed up a step in your plan your spiders should be fighting them by the time you moved them to where they should be.

though spiders putting creatures to sleep when fighting sounds a bit op because imagine if you had an army of gestalts that still exist after they land a hit and dealt 20 damage. If they kept hitting the boss it would stay asleep and they would be attacked while asleep not attacking back.

The shadow spiders I thought should be able to leap, I didn’t say that the lunar spiders should leap. I don’t have an idea for another name and I don’t know how it’ll look like but for now I think lunar spider is fine.

It would be when he leaves the world,  but I might not add it because I’m going back to being unfriendly when he leaves the world could be alleviated by him putting them in his inventory before he leaves the world

If you don’t want them to leap then what else should they do to even get out since for shadow spiders they have two abilities to teleport like shadow creatures, and a leap we should the lunar spider second ability be

If you want they could leap as I don’t have another idea Rn though I never heard of them leaping until you showed me your ideas for the affinites.
