Empty Bottles

Recommended Posts

When it comes to games you love to play such as DST, polish and all the little things that may go unnoticed goes a long way in making the game feel much better. One thing in DST is item interactions, even adding new interactions(whether if its meaningful or pointless) to previous items can make it feel there is endless potential in things you can do and show off. For example:

The bottle.

The bottle exist right now for trades with pearl and in a few crafting recipes, sure it may not be anything more but it got something better than currency. Potential. Pure, Raw, Potential. You can put things in it all kinds of things, just think of all the things. Got a thing put it in a jar, bugs put it in a jar, Warly's soup put it in the jar, my little horse figure trinket you found in a random tumbleweed put it in the--

You get my point, even though this may not change anything it adds flavor to an otherwise flavorless item. You think "yeah its a bottle, I can put things in it", I can show off my bug collection to my other survivors so let me drop some butterflies and bees in jars in my base, or let me fill up a bottle with water from a nearby pond and use that to water some plants (as a horribly inefficient watering can). Small details goes a long way.

Let me know your opinion if giving this level of detail to otherwise unassuming items can enhance the experience or if the effort is a waste of time and resources.

She lives on sandy shell turf. Who knows what she does when she goes in her house for the night. She might have a full blown glass factory in there.
