lenship2
webber's switcher-doodles are, well, switcher-doodles; shouldn't they be crafted as a form of a crock pot recipe exclusive to webber? its just a random idea i had
Juanasdf
The thing is they would need to add the inedible materials to the crock pot's allowed list. I've got stacks of moon shards that I would love to use as filler in some recipes... But I don't think there is an easy way to tell the game to make wet goop unless a specific recipe is made And also, the switcherdoodles are inedible to the players (though ambrosia is too). I see them more similar to what kids do when they take junk in their garden and call it "food" rather than being actual cooking Perhaps if they rework the cooking mechanics they could add them

No, you can use nightmare fuel as filler in some recipes. But a bunch of them exclude it, meaning you will get wet goop Dragonpie, for example, accepts any amount of inedible items, including nightmare fuel. Paxtonnnn
It'd be harder to make it so you have to befriend spiders first, harder (practically impossible without outside help) for new players to learn about the switcherdoodles, and they'd have to change some of the recipes to require 4 items, so I don't think it'd be worth it. Terra B Welch
I think Klei would have to completely rework the crockpot lua code to make this possible. It's the same as to why my budding chef mod can't enforce certain restrictions...

Juanasdf
Just now, Another membe said: That's cool. I never knew you could actually use nf like that. Though I wonder how Nightmare-Infused waffles would taste... It's pretty wasteful to use it like that... but one should be able to switch that for any other inedible material (bone shards,volt-goat horns; and sometimes twigs*) *These are usually excluded, since they come from before warly's addition of inedible ingredients, and a bunch of recipes have a limit on how many they can take / have a different result. For example: adding twigs to meatballs can result in kabobs. That's why I think they wouldn't make the switcherdoodle change, since moonglass is easily farmed lategame... Though these recipes aren't really that impressive / easily farmed compared to pierogies or meatballs... I guess you could make a challenge where you can only eat recipes that have nightmare fuel in them...
Cheggf
Webber is a noob character, hiding his mechanic away behind guessing crockpot recipes is the opposite of what should happen. It's good that they're accessible.

It makes them much more annoying to craft, and now new players have no idea that they exist.
