I didn't find them on 2 starting asteroids and it doesn't seem 3rd one has them as well. I'm not sure what happens in deeper space, my run was focused on local colony instead of space conquer

I can see the map level of the asteroids and none of them have the wasteland biome.

Welp.. Since there are no seeds to "mine" in space POI and grupfruit seed is not a care package of the printing pod (you need to discover seeds first anyway) well... I guess there is no grubfruit or divergents for this asteroid cluster?

Also I heard that there is a shortage of artifacts to find for that achievement.

guess I should not have tried to do 100% achievement run.

There is enough artifacts.
And the beta patch will fix the missing seed (may have to go to cycle 500 for the seed to show up as a care package).

And the Beta patch includes Grubfruit Seed care package.

And the seed, food, critter and eggs that require discovering will now become available after cycle 500.

Was it ever confirmed if this asteroid is a permanent addition to the game or something that will be removed sooner or later?

Wasn't confirmed nor denied, but the asteroid is still there even on the beta branch. If it remains until end of week, my guess would be it is a permanent gift

Playing this flask planet. a bit late, but now I have the time to play.

 

I was wondering how the desks hold on, on that flipped position.

after some exploring I found a tressure. Nice! my metal problems are solved...

but hold on - they are unborrowed.

oh! its a trap.

its much harder to get the Gold then expected.

 

on burrowed volcanos you can do some preparations, but this POI is a newbie killer. - good

reminds me of the deadly slimelung years ago.

 

toughts on that map: some special condition to the gameplay, Scenario like, are very interesting.

before I came back to ONI, I was playing Frostpunk. Its so hard and super challenging. 

But the scenarios are really fun to play and it extended the expected playtime for Frostpunk.
