Thieverpedia
I'm not sure if any of you had noticed it, but this new mechanic causes zero wetness in the caves, as the rain gets replaced by acid rain during a rift event. This presents one big issue with cave bosses: Volt Goat Chaud-Froid. Once the rifts are active, say goodbye to your 3x damage multiplier on wet bosses. They aren't getting wet anymore. This update is going to lower Warly's usefulness completely in one shard. As a Warly main, I'm annoyed by this. It's particularly annoying vs Toadstool and Misery Toadstool, as the update will drag the fights out for longer than they have to be. I'm hoping they fix this to make acid rain cause wetness. But leaving it as is will neuter Warly's usefulness in the caves greatly when the rift is active.
-Variant
Rain can still happen and cause wetness once the rifts close. It's for a short time, but it's there. It's not forever gone once the rifts open at least.
WhackE
I'm fine with this.
-Nick-
Since Toadstool was mentioned. Klei please rework his fight, or very ATLEAST make him have a good drop that makes the fight worth it. Overhaul the mushroom hats, anything.
Primalflower
acid rain erasing wetness singlehandedly makes caves so infinitely more habitable and i love it and i would despise for it to not be like that
Frashaw27
I mean, this could also be the call to have items to cause wetness intentionally, like maybe those Water Balloons that do almost nothing in a single player setting and only serve to troll your friends in multiplayer servers. Bosses being wet is only related to world wetness, balloons don't work. Except for dragonfly, her wetness mechanics is the same as players for some reason. Gashzer
Yeah just make water balloons make mobs wet. I think klei would have to give all mobs their own wetness meter. Which might be why they havnt done it yet.
