goodguythatguy
I don't know why the Nightmare Werepig stays on the screen after I killed him, but Werepigs drop more Meat and Pig Skin than Pigs, yet Nightmare Werepig drops none? I don't even want or need any meat, but damn...nothing to eat drops from this giant werepig?
Just Mactusk
nightmare werepig doesn't really die, he more like rest, so that kinda explains it
lenship2
i assume what happens when you 'kill' it is you drain it's nightmare power from it, hence the pure horror dropping from it instead of typical meat stuff. you don't actually kill it based on the defeat animation (although tbh there should be an option to murder it after you sap the nightmare power from it)
Hornete
Like the two above said, he doesn't die, just runs away to get himself empowered and trapped again. I do wish he had a proper animation for disappearing away though, bit boring that he just does the usual fade out if you wait two minutes after he is defeated. I agree, It should at least run off screen or possibly jump into the void, perhaps a respawning animation where it jumps out again but chains come out of the ground again, holding the neck and pillars along with that. Maybe because you aren't meant to stay there after you defeat him, after all it takes two whole minutes to disappear.

Eh, there's a lot of animations for things you aren't necessarily supposed to stay and see on screen. E.g. Antlion could have just faded away after summer ends but they gave her a unique animation to disappear away, even if most people aren't going to be by her when summer ends. A fun little animation of him being dragged by chains like @Mactusk mentioned would be a fun sorta easter egg if the player did choose to wait around and see what'd happen, . Malfario
Most probably the nightmare werepig will be a step stone into activating the shadow rifts and his fight will change after enabling them. My guess is that using the dreadstone from his pillars we will be able to repair the ancient gateaway after defeating fuelweaber, maybe even charlie will show up and ask us to repair the portal similar to wagstaff asking for the shard.
