More amazing changes! I'm glad that my nitre suggestion was added! Renewable nitre in hamlet! Rejoice!

Would be neat if ferns respawned in cave clefts during lush season. Similar to how succulents respawn at the oasis in DST.

Spoiler

Also HD textures pls :)

*sits cutely while kicking my feet and twirling my hair* Would there perhaps be any chance of adding any kind of smoldering at all to SW and HAM? Any at all? Maybe make it toggleable in the worldgen settings so folks can decide whether they want it or not?

The smoldering in RoG is only used for when a summer wildfire initially starts, to give the player a chance to put it out before it starts spreading. Smoldering isn't used for fire spread at all in RoG; that's only in DST.

I think they're referring to the fact the wildfire mechanic is absent entirely in SW and HAM.

Considering the dev made the mod on the workshop that ports DST fire spread to DS, I imagine its probably already been decided against adding the mechanic to singleplayer since it hasnt been added already

The Baby Ox and reworked Ancient Guardian boss fight were also added officially in the latest beta despite being on the workshop; there's always hope for more manageable fires to also work its way over to DS in an official capacity.

Yes, all of those mods were made by the developer. The former modder Leonidas IV is DiogoW and they have already added features based off their mods, but I imagine some are just beyond the scope of what Klei wants in the vanilla game. DST fire mechanics are designed with multiple people in mind, when in DS it is almost always your fault and not because of some random stranger, so more manageable fires isn't necessary really. DS also has things like dripple pipes that can be brought into RoG if you want easily manageable wildfires,

I highly doubt the mods will be taken down though, so there will always be an option at least and you can consider the mods "unofficially official" to yourself if you really want to. I use the "change your map" mod with no shame, especially in place of not having rafts from DST to get across water, but I would never expect it to appear in vanilla.
