Winters Feast Tree Question

I have been trying to sleep under the winters feast tree to get presents, and I am constantly getting coal even after 14 days between attempts. I don't really understand what I am doing wrong. Can I no longer have multiple trees?

You don't get good gifts for multiple trees anymore, yeah. You should still be getting one good present even with multiple trees, though? Unless the mechanics have changed, I believe the first tree the game checks should have a nice big juicy gift beside it, then all the others have coal and a treat.

To get better prizes you should wait few days between sleeps under tree. Also you'll get only one "good" present from all of the trees

I think the tree also has to be at least partially decorated to get more than coal and a treat from it. Fully decorated is better. Most likely you already knew that, but I figured I'd throw that out there, just in case. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the mechanics, myself.

You can only get a good or great gift if it has been at least four days since your last gift. Any break in the cycle will only give bad gifts. The quality of the tree also plays a factor in the gift, it needing full decorations for the best quality. Because of this you can also only get 1 good/great gift per sleep, as the other trees will count as interruptions in the cycle and give bad gifts. So the wiki & my own gameplay seem to show.

If another player sleeps under different tree while you are sleeping under yours, will they get a good gift too?

Does sleeping under trees further away from each other affect the drops?

The good gift timer is player specific- On my servers I make sure to rotate nightly who sleeps under the tree so we can get a good gift per night. For each individual there is a 4 day cooldown on the good gifts so I sleep nights 4, 8, 12, 16, etc. I also have 4 trees for aesthetic and extra gifts that are bundled and look cute, but as people above have said, only 1 of those gifts will be good. I'm not sure if multiple people can sleep during a night to yield more visits in the same night.

can confirm, it's one visit per night
