Character Combos

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, today I wanted to propose that we share our favorite Character combos and explain why they match so well.

 Combination 1:

- Wickerbottom: Farmer who produces quick vegetables and resource for base and for damage recipes, in addition to being able to summon rain which helps to wet the boss to apply 2.5 of electrical damage, speeding up the game with her full moon book.

- Warly: Recipes for increasing damage with pepper and electric jelly, serving as the base cook and preparing recipes that help the team in general.

- Wanda: Boss Killer with a damage that exceeds 400, with the food of electrical damage + Pepper Seasoning + Rain

Combination 2:

- Wurt: Resource producer for base, wood, stone and gold for armor, in addition to producing seeds for planting used in buffs.

- Wigfrid: Team fighter, with armor and being helped by warrior merms equipped with their helmets produced in large scale with the help of the merm king's gold.

- Warly: Garlic Spice for All Merms and Damage for Wigfrid!!!

One i though off:

Wendy, Wortox and Wormwood.

Wendy kills bees with Abby in mass.

Wormwond just keeps mutilating themselves to get Living Logs.

And Wortox uses the souls from the bees to keep Wormwood alive.

That way you get a large amount of Living Logs, Stingers and Honey.

Also, you can use them to craft a lot of Bramble Husks and Bramble Traps for the group.

Wickerbottom and Woodie:

plant fields of evergreens -> insta grow with Silviculture -> chop everything with Lucy -> rapidly spawn hundreds of treeguards -> unleash them on any boss that can knock down trees  like toadstool.

the new Grimoire can also be used to reset and lengthen the were-meter which can be useful when timed right so the weremoose doesnt have to switch back to human mid combat to then eat another idol.

Wickerbottom can also grow forget-me-lots for tea and farm BQ for jelly beans which are both awesome on weremoose.

Wormwood and Wurt:

Wormwood can easily grow all the crops in the world, including the surplus of seeds given by Merm King + Bramble husk can be used to easily farm tentapillars for spots + excess fish from merm deaths left to spoil can be used for Blooming + kelp either from MK or Wurt’s early trip to lunar island can also be used for SGF for blooming.

Wurt and her merms can take care of chopping wood + can farm BQ for jelly beans for Wormwood + can quickly/safely pick reeds for night armor for Worm + she can use the stupid amount of toma/pota worm can grow to tank through everything while wearing marble suits mined by her merms.

Add Wickerbottom on top and this is probably my fav trio in the game for obvious reasons least of all because of the possibility of endless rain outside of winter. But at that point the game can become too easy imo (problem with 3+ multiplayer in general for me). 2 players is a nice balance.

I would have loved to have seen some kind of connection between Winona’s Spotlights and Wigfrid- Wigfrid was a stage actress who performed at her best when the spotlights were shining on her.

Also the obvious- Maxwell boosting Wolfgang’s strengths to inhuman shadow infused levels.

Wolfgang and Wurt cover each other's weaknesses very well, while buffing the other one significantly.

mighty Wolfgang doesn't get slowed down by marble armor, while Wurt can multiple marble about just as fast as it grows, just throw a couple of merms at it. resource gathering? Wurt got that covered. fighting bosses that require kiting? Wolfie's here. anything that requires pure damage only? merms and more merms. carrying heavy ****? Wolfgang.

...but let's be honest, it's mostly the marble thing, because that armor is ridiculous, and turning it into something that's easier to farm than pigskin is just glorious.

Wendy isnt necessary in that once brumble husk is a thing

I just want to point out that we don't really need Wendy/Abigail for this to work, there is no way to take "unnecessary damage", other than having a Wortox healing WHOLE time.
Wortox with a Bramble Husks can already do everything, while he kills the bees and heals the wormwood in a perfect timing, wormwood will provide the living logs, you can farm hundreds of bees before one single armor broke
