ADM Posted March 22, 2022 Share Posted March 22, 2022 I wanted to post this the other day while trying to come up with a solution to that bug I reported here : But decided to at least hold it until I'm sure it's getting fixed so first thank @ScottHansen for helping out with the previous issue. Now I just wanted to talk about aesthetic, because something did not really step up to a good level like the filter icons and it's the character one : Currently we have this, which is literally the head of the character in-game style. I'm quite concerned by the major differences between lines, size, colour and details. That's visually quite out of space but at least you know who it is. But I would like to suggest something a bit more dedicated in order to fit the other designs, or at least use something a little more matching to the rest, I tried to use map icons and it went surprisingly well. I'm quite fine with the red lines since more black would have messed with hairs with certain characters anyway and that give it a little more important look at the filter methinks. (also using the original map icons might not be the best solution to make this work for modded characters, I don't think there is a way to obtain the registered atlas of a map icon similar to inventory items) This could be plenty other things but I had this one in mind peculiarly since they already exist, but maybe some sketchy doddles of survivors would be fine too... Spoiler They got nice ones on the Klei discord emojis, just a little black outline and it would be good for the most : So that's about it, as usual I can be slightly triggered to little things in sounds or images like many and it's the one that catch my eye the most lately. I will make a new mod in which I will add some tweaks to the new menu, support for different icon sets from my Icon Pack and add icon support. Ohan Posted March 22, 2022 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Im really gonna miss the unique icons of everyone’s special tab. I think it’s a pity they were abandoned in favor of just the survivor’s heads. Feels less inspired/special. But at the end of the day it’s a minor thing ..
