Is it because the only thing that is constant when you revive is the fact that you are still trapped there? The place itself is in a Constant state of being, and the one Constant is the fact that you can never truly die. For most survivors, they're in a Constant cycle. A never ending loop. Mike23Ua Posted December 29, 2021 Share Posted December 29, 2021 Someone working at Klei was probably asked “well what do we want to call this game world?” and someone else also working at Klei probably said “My wife is annoyed how I’ve been at work constantly working on this game so let’s call it ‘The Constant’” Everyone at Klei then laughs & unanimously agree’s. As far as how the game got the name Dont Starve: Maybe someone at Klei bought a subway sandwich & stores it in the company fridge for later consumption but then Someone else at Klei saw said Sandwich & was hungry so they ate it then blamed it on someone else, but the original owner of said Sub was like- “Great guys.. now how am I going to make sure I Don’t Starve?” there was a collective room gasp & everyone praised this Dev as a genius. ”Don’t Starve? That’s what we will call our game!” (Disclaimer: I don’t really know if that’s true.. or not but that’s just what I was thinking in my head to be funny.) Every time they do, they wake up in a new, yet very similar world. Different, yet noticeably Constant, if you will.
