I used to have a very minor art thread, but sort of fell out of it last year.

I received some proper inking brushes as a gift and decided to put them to use.

I apologize if this is the wrong section to be posting in, as I haven't spent time on the forums in quite a while.

(WX's arm ended up a little shorter than I'd wanted, but by the time I noticed it was too late).

WX having a panic attack - they don't know what's happening, but they know it's not good.

I've been looking at a lot of Waokevale's work recently, it gave me the inspiration to try my hand at art again after my time away.

Thanks! The dynamics between the characters has always been one of my favorite elements of the game, and I wanted to try my hand at it.

To me, WX always felt like someone who did feel, but was just afraid of feeling due to the vulnerability it comes with. Combining the callous, low-empathy one with the cheerful, high-empathy bundles of joy seemed like it had a lot of potential.

These look so good! I love these character dynamics, WX and Webber's dynamic especially is really well shown here. Great job!

Just to be clear, my previous message was in response to this.

Of course! And that interpretation of WX makes sense. I like how there are so many ways to see these characters and interpret their stories, WX being a good example of this. Their dynamics with the more positive and cheerful characters have always been fun to see explored to me.

WX could serve as a begrudging friend/parental figure for Webber, but that's really up for anyone's interpretation. I do see WX and Wormwood as friends though - they actually have a lot of in common. WX acts cold but has a softer side, while Wormwood acts soft but has his colder moments. Both don't really fit in, and are afraid of some form of natural element (water and fire respectively), and Wormwood's quotes for the W.A.R.B.I.S armor set implies he respects them a lot.

I imagine this to be kind of WX's feeling in the short where they remember scenes from their life (when their empathy module got repaired for a short moment)

That's pretty much what I was going for

This one was just a doodle - I didn't have my usual supplies so I had to make do with just a pencil.

And I may be wrong, but does the symbol under my account name mean I have been officially recognized as an artist?

That would be super cool if that's the case

This is an older one that I forgot to post here. It's one of the ones I'm a bit more proud of, alongside the piece of Triumphant Wormwood.

I'm currently working on a piece (with the advice and input of WaokeVale), but I'm trying to take it a bit slower and more methodical.

Hopefully it will look a lot better than what I have previously made, because whenever I look back at my own art all I can see is the flaws.

It's good so far though!

I made this for two main reasons: to try working on differences in height, and to try a method of making WX's eyes appear a bit more 3d.

In case anyone is wondering, Webber is supposed to be wearing the Mossrose Drapery - it turned out a little weird.

Aww they look like they'd be posing in front of one of those old photo cameras. [It would probably not super comfortable to pose like this, having more oldfashioned cameras from that time (which time exactly?) in mind, but it would be adorable if Winona would build some oldfashioned camera in the game that the characters could pose and that a Wilson or an older character like Wickerbottom or Wanda had to "craft" (develop) into finished photos then. ]

That would be pretty great - the stage already has some fun, slightly pointless mechanics that I could see being used in that way. Wilson made a video camera in one of the shorts, so why not a classic film camera?

I must have missed that animated shorts detail once more :wilson_drool: (I miss so many of them because I barely know the videos).

But yes, fun mechanics to add more LIFE just more LIFE to the game (plus one may give the character a tiny sanity bonus when looking at a fun moment photo.......or maybe insanity when looking at a photo that they consider embarassing)

Here is the short I mentioned:

Thanks for providing me with this adorable content! I have never seen this video before ( like so many I suppose but that's because for the longest time I only knew the first Wilson gets tricked to build the maxwelldoor video and I feel too exhausted to look through all videos. ) But this one was nice in particular. (also the short Wagstaff film scene at the end.) But this idea of Wilson making a film is just genius (also Wormwood and Woodie being used as the tutorial characters was hillarious. Just now I wish Wolfgang ACTUALLY had the ability in mighty form to "harvest" whole trees so you could e.g. relocate them to plant a whole new forest without having to collect pinecones and waiting for them to regrow....seriously imagine Wolfgang pulling a whole tree out of his inventory xD Nah....ok maybe not the most necessary of all gameplay stuff, but it would be funny)
