Skinny Simon
As it says in the Wiki, the Large one can carry 900kg oxidizer. It is 5 burden and 5 height. If I build 2 small ones, can also 900kg, but with 4 burden and 4 height. It costs less, right? Can the dev consider a buff for Large Solid Oxidizer Tank to make it useful? My common sense is that the larger, the more efficient.... Gurgel
Well, you have the build-cost. But otherwise this does not make too much sense, especially the height. sakura_sk
It made some sense when the restrictions for rockets included module count but not anymore Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135961-is-there-any-reason-to-be-build-large-solid-oxidizer-tank/#findComment-1520231 Share on other sites
NeoDeusMachina
None that I can think of (that wasn't already mentioned above) with the current state of rocketry in SO! Skinny Simon
One reason I have is that the large one fits the rocket better in terms of shape Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135961-is-there-any-reason-to-be-build-large-solid-oxidizer-tank/#findComment-1520256 Share on other sites
Sasza22
Lets hope they don`t nerf the small tank into 3 height to make it useful. gabberworld
this is again a similar thing like it was with the Sushi food, made something what is not practical use at all Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135961-is-there-any-reason-to-be-build-large-solid-oxidizer-tank/#findComment-1520615 Share on other sites
NewWorldDan
The large tank fits my scaffolding scheme better. Also, I'm lazy, and I usually switch to LOX as soon as the research is complete. Still, I hadn't noticed, so this is good information. DolphinWing
I guess the efficiency is we lose less oxylite? One delivery than two. juni3227
I used them for pet engine before accessing LOX, that was such a trouble to build one. Oxylite is much easier to handle, just do not put it into where dupe made their mess. Dang it.
