Bearger is broken - again.

I have Bearger problems in a new world again. It's day 568 and Bearger hasn't spawned a single time. I have been in the caves the second autumn, but after that, still nothing, no audio clues or commentary, I have checked the world via console, he's not there. I have now decided to spawn him in manually. So far so good, but now, 50% of the trees he tramples down, don't drop any wood, they just leave a stump behind (they're NOT withered down). And yes, I have checked my world settings, Bearger is set to default on. He's just behaving completely broken. Anyone any thoughts on this?

This is intentional, he's supposed to swipe the trees or groundpound the trees if you want the logs to drop. Any trees he runs into don't drop any loot.

he is just walking or while charge? because not dropping wood when they are chop by just bearger walking is intended

actually running (the charge before the stomp) works but not when he is just following you at regular speed

I'm pretty sure he was running through those trees. I hit him and then led him through a row of trees, when he was running after me. Only the groundpound ones dropped wood, the other ones technically disappeared except for a stump. Gotta observe this again, I also think he knocked every tree over he just walked into by himself. So, he chopped more than he should, but those that should drop wood didn't.

They changed it so he wouldn’t just be a wood harvesting lumberjack for your amusement, now you actually have to do something, like.. put food near him and when he walks to get it, pick it up so he gets angry and chases after you.

You can still use him as a Lumberjack, but not as effortlessly and without danger involved as people once were.

is an old world? i have an old world where bearger went to buy tobacco hundred of years ago...

Yeah, but you get Deerclops at the end of day 30, while Bearger won't arrive until day 73. Deerclops is the best source of logs for that first year, which is when you're most hurting for logs anyway.

6 flint axes => 40 evergreens => 2 stacks of pinecones => planted on day 25 => wood for days plus eyebrella plus living logs.

Alternatively if you set seasons to shortest, and bosses to More- you’ll have them spawn on about day 6, and repeatedly.. to the point you eventually ignore their arrival altogether.

Not everyone plays on default settings so it’s good to know this kind of information :) 

I just had the constant roaring problem happen to me yesterday on a klei public server. Seems like the issue has nothing to do with game settings and such, it's just a general Bearger problem. He was roaring all the time during the 5th autumn or such, while he spawned normally beforehand. I was even hearing him roar while sailing and on pearl/lunar.
