WX-78 rework

Anything but adding more character-unique craftable items. :/ It is silly that every character should focus around having special items that only they can build / craft. When Winona was added having unique items was truly special in itself. Every time another character gets X new unique items it inflates Winona value even more.

Having character strengths revolving around crafting exclusive items makes for pretty boring and lazy character design, in my option.

I do think the mechanics of his upgrade system could be reworked differently to make it more interesting, like using different components for different upgrades individually. But WX is not just an "ok character", if you have played the game for a few hundred hours as the robot you should know that WX is one of the most useful characters in the game because of:

* Taking use of gone-off food like it's just been prepared

* Overcharge's immunity to freezing, infinite light source AND increased speed boost which in a team setting can make the WX player a life-saver if pretty much everyone else is sub-par at the game (or it's simply a game-over scenario for everyone else due to a boss fight or something)

* Gears being an easy upgrade and sustenance for all stats if you need to take use of them while in ruins, which makes WX by far the best and fastest ruins raider

All that considered a good WX player on your team, with a few boosts can give you a bountiful harvest of many things and is not to be underestimated (honestly I feel like comparing WX to Saitama, super powerful, but barely anyone recognises their true power). If anything WX needs a better drawback such as being more susceptible to water damage.

That sounds like a terrible Woody type rework all over again. There is already the overcharge mechanic, which may end up serving a similar purpose. Another "form" would just overcomplicate things in my opinion and could ruin the essence of what the character is.

I find it to be the opposite, much more fun to play when you are effectively a mechanical god. It is a fair criticism that just extra basic stats and boosts are a lazy way of making a character mechanically different, but for one character, especially if the theme and essence of the character allows it (and in this case I think it does), it's good enough. Overcharge is one of the key things that makes it fun for me to play as the character, but to each their own I suppose, that's why we "main" different characters :D
