SchlauFuchs
Imagine a Rocket with large Petroleum engine - it should provide 480W power -, having a battery module, which feeds a space module powergrid with only 320W potential consumption - why is this battery empty after a 6 tiles travel and landing? It was fully charged at takeoff, and now the crew has an issue. Is this a bug? Edit - even better, the gas tank, pretty full with oxygen at take off is empty, too. This misson is a fail. Sasza22
Sounds like a bug. I don`t have much experience with battery modules but i never had an oxygen tank go to zero all of a sudden. Do you remember if you had the oxygen box checked in the gas tank or was it everything unchecked when you took off? NewWorldDan
Did the rocket sit idle for a few cycles before landing? The rocket engine only produces power while it's moving. In orbit at its destination it is producing no power. Deconstruct something inside the rocket and make a hamster wheel if you're in trouble (unless it's already too late for that). It cannot be placed immediately next to the door, you need to leave at least 1 tile between the door and the checkpoint, then it should work properly. I used to have beds in my rockets, but now, more often than not, I replace those with manual generators when I need charged batteries and the rocket isnt moving and I cannot fit enough solar panels for my needs. The +1 morale isnt a big loss, and Id rather keep the great hall bonus instead. They ignore the check point when exiting the rocket if the check point is directly after the rocket's door. I think some diagonal pathing is responsible for that like how dupes would ignore sinks sometimes if they path diagonally to exit the bathroom Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/131761-why-is-the-battery-empty/#findComment-1478254 Share on other sites

They don't actually move into the rocket door, the exit point is the square where the atmosuit dock is located and thus they never try to move beyond it. I wouldn't describe this as a bug, just an inconvenience. hackcasual
For atmosuit layouts on orbital lander missions, I prefer mini gas pump next to door, then mesh door, then checkpoint. That way I can force my lander duplicant to suit up by only giving them 1 way to pass through the gate.
