Although making the virtual planetarium available without interstellar research can be helpful, if you want to go the route of landing on the radioactive asteroid first and get the databank from the satellite. If necessary, they could be balanced by something like high radbolt or energy consumption... The update notes mention that the Virtual Planetarium is deprecated pending a future replacement.
