Gi-Go
You can also get wax from klaus using green staff. I'm cool with current state of bees because collecting bundles and bee boxes is one of the things I do in my endless worlds. As for waxing veggies... that's just another dumb idea. Klei had a lot of them this year. They wanted to give wax a use since it's just a weird phase between honeycomb and bundle wrap. But come on, wasting rare valuable item to make veggie last forever? And you couldn't even give us that, it drops rot instantly on hammering. You do know the weight thingy makes them last forever? No point in changing bees, klei should just make it so that waxing didn't destroy wax similarly to how razor works. It's just a decor after all. I really don't see myself using them for wax, I think it could use some better ways of producing/renewability. I don’t Wax giant Veggies, but I can easily see where they might would be fun for base decorations and stuff- but since my worlds are pretty much deleted by around day 400-600 base decorating isn’t really a feature designed for me. Stuff like the Lunar Island Biomes, the promising looking Ocean Content, and the new stuff found in Lunar Mushtree Grotto and Archives that’s the types of content updates I like. Spoiler Each return of them update has literally been giving us upgrades to make longer boating trips possible- such as the lightning conductor mast upgrade, the Salt Box to further preserve food freshness, or the Tin-Fishin-Bin to store fish at Sea.. We have a Boat: Now just give me more unique new areas to sail into with my boat (preferably land/ island biomes that aren’t just a few Salt Stacks or Seaweeds in the ocean) & I’ll be a happy camper. Preserving veggies by Waxing them is just a feature base decorators will appreciate, and non-base decorators are going to see as useless. But I wouldn’t dare to call it a stupid idea.. It still appeals to someone who likes it, even if it doesn’t appeal to Me. I didnt like so much base building because what i like the most is the survival aspect but then i start trying and i love it. Is what i like the most in this game, how fresh can become the game, even after many hours played, with few changes in our way of playing Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/125968-honeycombs/page/2/#findComment-1415779 Share on other sites

If it's not, why is there a thread asking for a change to honeycombs purely for the decor sake? Not to mention the fact that waxed veggies drop rot, because 3 potatoes that never spoil for the price of a honeycomb is OP (even tho there is a cheaper way to preserve mega veggie) which just shows how well thought the idea is. Anyways, the problem is not that decor is useless, it's that decor should be more accessible, so that everyone could enjoy it. I'm saying that rot from waxed megas is a nerf attempt, to point out how out of touch with the game klei are. Unless you actually belive they made waxed veggies drop rot for the sake of real life logic. I don't.
