standalone version directly from klei is gone?

Hi again, long time no see.

I bought Don't Starve and reign of giants in 2014 directly from Klei (am not sure if i bought shipwrecked in 2015 too), had not played it for a few years (i think i last played it in late 2015 or early 2016) and needed to reinstall windows since then. And now (after Don't Starve got mentioned on the Vintage Story forums) I wanted to play it again but i'm not able to find any download section anymore. What happened? The site got so confusing and now there's an extra support login too.

You should probably contact Klei support directly, as they'll be able to see that you bought the game and your registry/keys from back in 2014. A lot of coding with game access and the forums has changed since then, so things probably got a little muddy along the way while you re-installed Windows.

Klei should make you a mod.

A couple things. First - generally speaking, since we don't run the stores that people use to purchase the game, we don't really have much ability to track down where a customer purchased the game.

Where you purchased the game matters a lot here for how you want to download. You can find what you need probably here: https://support.klei.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029881531-Where-is-my-game-key-email-

Regarding the support captcha - if you're having issues with the webform you can send an email direct to livesupport@kleientertainment.com

However, generally speaking we are more limited in finding a purchase than you. I recommend checking through your email for any sort of purchase confirmation. But, feel free to send us what information you do have and we will see what we can do.
