i think klei could give some attention to that pretty fish-girl too, currently looks like a webber but green, we need some kind of skill that will be rlly different like swim abillity of woodie's weregoose transformation, and maybe she dont be fear when stay near of tentacles

she doesnt get a sanity penalty when wet, she has a passive sanity gain from fish, she has increased run speed on swamp turf, her diet is tied to the recent gardening overhaul and she can recruit merms to chop wood and mine boulders for her.....for sure i didnt think webber could do any of that XD

Imo Merm King could stand to be made better. Specifically trading with him could be a lot more interesting if he gave different rewards based on the fish offered instead of always rot,seeds, kelp and trinkets that are useless to Wurt. Better rewards for harder to catch fish. 

Merm AI is also kinda wonky warrior merms cant find their way back home if they lose loyalty too far away.

that being said i think those two things aside shes pretty good. Though im by no means a Wurt main. the wetness buff was long overdue and im so glad she has that now!

Wurts actually really really really good if you know how to effectively play as her, with just a top hat and a pet fish in inventory Wurt doesn’t have sanity drain penalty while exploring caves.

And DO NOT underestimate the power of basing in a Swamp with pre-built Merm shacks, a single already existing Merm shack can house 4 or more Merms.. You would be dumb to NOT build the rest of your Merm Kingdom near these.. And then laugh at the quick demise of any threat that dares to enter your swamp kingdom.

It is a bit sad that Wurt doesn't have a unique niche, but that's unavoidable due to the sheer overlap her gameplay design encompasses. At this point I just hope that they pretty up the Merm AI. I don't really expect to see any major changes beyond that. Her main perk is basically having fancy bunnymen—I have no qualms with its effectiveness but it is a bit bland.

I'm sure Webber's rework will push the two even further apart despite their similar roots. That's the hope at least.

She loses no sanity from being wet or having wet equipment.

And why does it matter if everyone can use farms? The fact that farms are viable has made Wurt, a vegetarian, way better than she was before. That's a buff right there and a pretty big one too.

i ignored wet equipent buff because it doesnt matter at all

and i dont think new farms buffes wurt beause like i said its for everyone 

like if there is a new meat source exists its not a buff for wigfrid its for everyone everyone can eat meat (except wurt)

Ah, yes, if you ignore all the ways Wurt is now better than she was before this update, then indeed she has received no buffs.

Actually wigfrid was buffed because of leafy meat recipes aswell as wurt was buffed because having veggies is easier

Instead of annoying birchnut/butterflies farming for healing she can farm potatoes even in winter, tomatoes, eggplants and for hunger she have a good variety of veggies instead of wasting time cooking jam for a miserable hunger gain

Wetness matters when you are fighting a boss with rain, being able to use other head gear than eyebrella is important and makes her perk to hold items at 100% wetness more noticeable

Every spring i kill beequeen at 100%wetness and is unique to her. Much more confy than having to wear eyebrella or making pauses under a start to dry to be able to keep the fight. Also a fight free of nightmeres that can make the boss fight longer and more difficult

I think Wurt is a well balanced character in my opinion, I mean as gimmicky as it sounds... wearing a top hat and holding a pet fish to completely negate sanity drain while exploring caves content is a pretty OP perk.

I just wish her Merms and her Merm King had more utility, I mean she’s supposed to be this little Merm that advances all of Merm-kind right? she’s the one that gets in with the survivors and learns to build weapons/armor because the Merms themselves were well “too dumb?” hanging out with the all knowledgeable Wickerbottom has helped Wurt to become clever beyond her years.

I would like gameplay that reflects upon Wurts goal of uniting all of Merm-folk, so for example being able to trade things to her king in exchange for Merm Armor, Weapons etc that she can then equip normal naturally spawning Merms with without having to build the special Flortification shacks would likely go a long way in helping Wurt.

Less dumb Merm A.I. Would help tremendously as well too I think.

But for now (and thanks to the RWYS update) I can just live in my swamp forever never needing to actually venture out of my swamp for food (I used to have to leave the swamp to get foods, now I don’t..) and with immunity to Wetness (swamps have rainfalls more often) Wurt has become even more at home in her Swamps.  
 

Im not sure what else she really needs honestly.. I think she’s pretty good as is.
