Muzarello
I've seen so many people with big cave bases, real nice ones, and lately a thread about farming at night, so getting to the point, would you like Cave crops? or Night time crops? Like a Cave banana crop seed for example. they only grow at night and dusk and would be perfect for cave basing, without the need of sinkhole lights or the staves to work. I don't see that happening but I wonder what you guys think about the Idea. JosePapp
For as much as i like those ideas, food is also pretty abundant pretty much everywhere you go. I think the caves and especially the ruins offer less food intentionally, so i'm not sure about this Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/124612-cave-farms/#findComment-1402971 Share on other sites

There is enough food sources in the caves right now,but was just wondering about some new branches to this new update. Owlrust
Just banana's in general for me. Letting Wendy and Wormwood create their favorite dishes on the surface and giving Warly another option for sanity restoration would be nice. Wendy C.
I want to be able to eat my favorite food within a reasonable amount of time. Wolfgang's favorite food is a POTATO. Why are banana's so hard to obtain? This is ridiculous. Crestwave
5 hours ago, JosePapp said: I think the caves and especially the ruins offer less food intentionally, so i'm not sure about this The ruins actually has a ridiculous amount of food. Monkeys are crazy good food sources and lichen, ponds, native worms (in addition to the worm attacks), even banana trees, dangling spiders, moleworms(?), mushrooms, and lesser glowberries are also abundant there. But the main disadvantage is that these cannot be transplanted. I think that the rest of the caves (well, with the bunny nerf that is) and the lunar ruins especially have significantly less food, not that it's much of a problem either. Anyway, allowing you to grow bananas/lesser glowberries could be fun even though it's kind of the ruins' niche. 29 minutes ago, Wendy C. said: I want to be able to eat my favorite food within a reasonable amount of time. (Don't take the favorite foods too seriously; Webber and Maxwell's especially aren't exactly easy to obtain, either) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/124612-cave-farms/#findComment-1403163 Share on other sites

You find the ruins for other things and, in the way to home, you can come with a bundle fill with bananas Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/124612-cave-farms/#findComment-1403245 Share on other sites
Well-met
Taking bananas and lichens away from the ruins would just give caves less of a reason to go in there. ShadowDuelist
Mushroom planters are kind of the cave dweller farm. You can obtain everything needed to keep growing them in complete darkness, and if you are near a mushroom forest or killed toad you can use spores to make it much more efficient. Woodie and Wormwood have an advantage on these since they have easier access to living logs, and Wicker pre-nerf could also rush the growth cycles although I’m not sure how that works now. However, a new unique plant for the new farm plots, that only grows in total darkness (or at night if on the surface) would be cool. It doesn’t have to be banana or lichen, it could be something new. I don't think so, even if lichen farms are common knowledge by now,not all character can farm lichen and monkeys that easily, or have a lucky cave gen with lots of bananas. I see both the would-be-crops and the monkey/lichen farms as very niche stuff, not all character can or would use them. 15 hours ago, Crestwave said: (Don't take the favorite foods too seriously; Webber and Maxwell's especially aren't exactly easy to obtain, either) Wes can't even make his favorite food, poor boy.
