Storors
Hello there. I want to land "Jean the Explorer" on this new ... darkish ... asteroïd. I can't land anywhere. I can't see anything on the surface. Did I miss something ? This is the Sellar Map : As you can see my rocket is in orbit. Bug ? or WAD ? Thanks for the help. blash365
I think most of the surface is dark. But you should be able to see a bit. Did you zoom out? Pulstar
Unless I'm blind I think you are trying to land with a trailblazer manned (duped?) lander. You need to use the rover module and land with that to reveal the surface first, before a manned (duped?) mission I think. Yes I zoomed out. My telescope is "Fully Explored". When I want to see the "preview" on the asteroid I see the same bug. Just means you have to get the dupe to oxygen very fast and there is a high chance they die alone on an alien world in the name of science. Still maybe better than death by being bricked behind a wall up to their knees in pee after deciding that 1x2 space was ideal to stand in. Errr ... thanks I guess ? https://oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com/Controls Alt+s => Toggle Screenshot Mode. You mean by activating the screenshot mode I could see the entire map ? That's a good idea, I'll test that this evening. Billio
I had this issue too, but eventually realized that the initial view after clicking the deploy lander button was deep underground. I just scrolled up and eventually saw the surface. I think Klei may just need to update the initial coordinates the camera goes to when selecting the landers. I've gotten this "bug" two playthroughs in a row. I had to resort to hitting backspace via debug to see the surface so I could land my scout. You can't select a landing zone unless you can see at least some of the surface. FYI, the initial screen is right where it is supposed to be, but the surface, which should be partially exposed, is not. In fact, the lander will show a white outline (like the pic above) when you are in a landable spot. You just can't select it if you can't see it. It's possible that we are both doing something wrong, but it seems that most are seeing part of the surface as initially exposed. 41r0
The same happened to me described here: I couldn't find a way to land, the only option was to give up or enable sandbox and reveal some of the planet, but that feels like cheating Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/124259-new-home-full-dark/#findComment-1402146 Share on other sites
nerdje
i ran into the same issue today. searched for a solution and ran into this post. fixed it: I can only see a spot to land when i am in a specific place in the orbit of that asteroid. at the 3 other spots i have this darkness Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/124259-new-home-full-dark/#findComment-1403612 Share on other sites
