timmy-t
I copied this electrolyzer setup from YouTube. Every time I supply power, the electrolyzer begins to suffer damage. I can't figure out why, and would appreciate some help if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
JRup
It will only take regular water. Not polluted water.
psusi
Because you are feeding it polluted water. A pop up should tell you "WRONG ELEMENT".
JRup
Also, the hydrogen generator will take damage for some time because there is oxygen in the room and will be there for some time after you start the electrolyzer. You may want to vent or filter all gases at first until the hydrogen gas layer stabilizes in this setup.
Neotuck
I'd like to see the YouTube video that told you to pump polluted water into an electrolyzer
timmy-t
Quote I'd like to see the YouTube video that told you to pump polluted water into an electrolyzer That's what I get for relying on memory about a week after I watched the video. I forgot about the step of sieving the polluted water.

psusi
Also you haven't insulated the room or provided for any cooling so that whole area and wherever that pipe of hot oxygen is going will get pretty hot.
