So... How to use Mouse Emoticon in chat

Recommended Posts

title.

Honestly looking for a way to be able to use the left click emoticon (and all of its mousey variants) in the game without having to use the Status Announcements mod.

I've been scouring the internet for these, but so far I've only found ways to use all emoticons except this one.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is the Status Announcements Mod

With it you can Alt+shift click on any items or stat bars like health to tell everybody how much you have of that thing.

I don't think you can use it outside of the mod, sadly

You can. I use it to lie to people about me wanting to craft the Old Bell.

Host a server where you or another player used the Status Announcements mod in chat, then go to your Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether folder, then the folder with all the numerals, then whichever Cluster_[number] corresponds to the server slot, then either the Master or Caves folder as the mood strikes you since they both have copies. Open the server_chat_log text file and copy the little question mark in a box symbol that appears before "I have 3 twigs" or whatever you announced, then Ctrl+V it into the DST chat while it's still on your clipboard.

This is a very Windows-centric explanation but I don't know where the server_chat_log file lives on any other platform.

Hmm, I'll try to do just that. thanks for the answer, Cameo!

I'll see if it works and post the results here.

Alright, I'm back from testing and I can confirm:

Cameo and frank's ways works perfectly. (I used this code:  )(Not sure if it can still work once I pasted it here, though. we'll see...)

as for Viktor, I'll try them soon too.

Thanks again for the help, everyone.
