Anenemies should be renewable

Recommended Posts

Anenemies have been a very interesting addition to the game, you can be really creative with them and the community already found many unique ways to take advantage of them. The problem is that how much you can do with them is entirely based on how lucky you were with your world generation, I always wish I had more anenemies than I do (right now in my current world I don't even have any left to use!). I also believe that one of the possible lunar island you get from retrofitting only has 8, which is way lower than the regular world gen average, which I'd say is about 20.

So, when it comes to making them renewable, there's a few options but I'm not sure which one would be the most fitting, so I'm just gonna list a few:

  1. World regrowth
  2. Sunken chests
  3. Ocean debris
  4. Steeped lunar essence (hallowed nights only)

I don't think any of these solutions would be perfect, but I just wanted to express how much I want to be able to get more anenemies, so I hope the suggestions help in some way.

Yes.. I have a suggestion- DST should be less of a hand holding friendly base building campfire story telling party game, and should have at least SOME Content geared back towards the Giant Editions roots..

So my suggestion on what to do with Anenemy? This should be DST version of the Maxwell toothtrap Biome in Solo DS.

Yup.. I went there. ;)

Anenemies and Bull Kelp Stalks (the kind you can carry around and plant) should both be renewable. I've scrapped a ton of newly generated worlds just because they had too little of those things.

But I would rather it be through more reliable means than Ocean Debris or an event exclusive item.

I agree on this. Anenemies are really interesting and in every single gameplay i either find few of them or people had already taken them all.

Same with kelps, and this is specially annoying when trying to build the merm carpet. (Kelps can even catch on fire and be lost for ever)

Maybe some could be added as a tumbleweed drop?
