You can carry bundles everywhere you go while Salt box is there in base why this is even a discussion

Long-term I have completely stopped using Salt Boxes. Wax Paper is not scarce if you kill Klaus and Bee Queen regularly and Grass Gekko farms produce more Grass than I can realistically use. A chest with 9 Bundles is up +27 inventory slots on a Salt Box and has 0x spoilage. Bundles only get better with time, Salt Box does not.

There are a lot of things to do in a new world, and Bee Queen along with everything you'd need to beat her are usually found along the way.  Knowing where these things are through natural exploration of the top side you can do a low risk oven set up and bake her in about 1-2 days.  If you instead go to get salt you're going to need to explore a whole new area and you're unlikely to find anything else super useful while you're out there.  The risk of failure is actually higher b/c you could miss click and get a cookie cutting a hole in your boat, run into a shark and waste time dealing with that, possibly get a pirate raid etc.

Say you don't die in either case - the bee queen is less risk because the activity is more streamlined and overlaps with other activities you'll be doing anyway.  Boating to get salt is higher risk for wasting time, even if you aren't at risk of dying.

The oven set up is pretty easy, its been around for a long time with different variations.  Here is a video I did about it a few years ago, there are better designs now that are even easier to set up.

If you don't want to be some cheese monkey you can still do her pretty reliably with any character, although damage boosted characters wolf / wanda / abi make it easier.

If you're not solo then she becomes really easy as you don't have the whole horde of bees after you all the time.  With friends she's surprisingly easy to knock out with just a few armor and healing items.

I think I'm understanding what is happening. Re-reading my post I can see how my choice of words may have implied I am arguing against Shosuko and as a result inherited the tone of the posts preceding my own. I can assure you that my intended tone did not reflect that.

To reiterate, I am not arguing the superiority of the salt box in comparison to bundling wrap in either efficacy or ease of access. Similar to Shosuko, I hardly bother building a saltbox unless I've stumbled onto some salt on the way to doing something else. Not to say I dislike salt boxes, I just don't go boating very often and I have no problem doing things with just an icebox.

I was literally only interested in confirming the legitimacy and learning about the bee queen killing method that was claimed to be easier than acquiring a salt box.

Thank you for showing your method. It is definitely easier than how I have been doing it, though I think it is definitely an exaggeration to say that it is easier to get this set up in comparison to a salt box. But we can agree to disagree.

Could you elaborate on the better designs?
