Rainbowdesign
Its a quite overpowered recipe in the refinery and rock crusher which essentially means you can transform all tungsten to thermium without the need for any flight after the first. Gurgel
You still need tungsten. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/119730-thermium-to-niobium/#findComment-1350273 Share on other sites

Then partially melt it all away at 3.4% of the required heat. It is not a bug anymore and has been rebalanced into this form. Every map now has gobs of tungsten. Can you point to the thread on how to do it? mathmanican
Same approach as always, just now the amount of heat loss is fixed instead of exploitable. Spoiler And it is definitely an intended mechanic. Prince Mandor
There are two scenarios. You can have niobium at two nearby planets, and then niobium is a lot cheaper than tungsten. Because planets with tungsten is always far away Or you may not have niobium nearby, then it is of course more efficient to produce it from tungsten. But this situation is very rare. BTW, if you can build abyssalite-flaking monstrosity, you can build ten rockets, farming niobium. There are nothing game braking in this recipe, you exchange one rare and limited material to another, very rare, but not limited on most gameplays Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/119730-thermium-to-niobium/#findComment-1350380 Share on other sites
