Triple Moosegoose Spawn!

Recommended Posts

Any of you guys ever had this.. Built my pig village (about 18 huts) during first autumn.. killed clopsy in winter then spring has just hit... I knew there was a potential moose goose spawn point near the village, but I went up there to farm the pigs and ran into 3.. yes 3!! Moose goose jumping about... how uncommon is this?!

imagina having the base in the center of 3 spawns... springs are fun in that world... xd

once I made a huge mistake and based near a moose goose spawn, didn't even see it! and because I have that glitch where I can't hit the goose no matter what.. I had to move!

I live near a triple spawn, distance of 2 screens size, so very close. I didn't realise at first because the first spring was clear, and then I saw the babies comin in my base to steal my garden, dry meat, berries... So I built fences and doors around my gardens and food's stuff.

And I find a solution to keep them busy, I put 2 lure plants near them. It works very well. Plus spiders because swamps starts at the same place. Babies dies always fast.

Consider yourself lucky cause you can potentially have a 4th one at the same location ! :D

What you've seen is called the "Moose/Goose Breeding Grounds", which have ~50% chance to appear in any world, so pay attention.

I also like to call it the Moose Quad since this area have 4 Moose spawners, of course you will most likely have 2-3 of them active during spring but yeah once I had the 4 that spawned a Moose at the same time, that's was a funny story for another day.

Isn't there a chance for a nest to have 2 goose parents aswell? Sometimes there's an extra parent and this one chases threats indefinitely.

So, is there no way to get rid of goose spawners?

I have a spawner not too close from my drying racks, but it seems that the baby gooses do scout a bunch, and they always get there and eat all the meat, forcing me to have to kill moose/goose and the babies each spring. I already have a whole chest of feathers and don't really need anymore, so I'd be interested to block/glitch the spawner somehow.

Nope, best thing you can do is blocking the moose with trees and stuff so she can't go away, and walls further (not in attack range) to lock the Mooslings

In my Woodie save file I have 2 Moose/Goose with the Moslings right there with them....in my base. That's not the bad part though, the bad part is that I got the setpiece with a pig guard and around 20 or more berry bushes right next to them. I took the guard out and was planning on using the bushes as a non-disease / non-withering gobbler farm.....but the moslings keep eating my berries, and I can't fight them because they could uproot my bushes. A tough time to be a gobbler that's for sure.

I never saw a plant being digged by moose or her children. I think, if you build a rod, you can fight them safe
