Anyone know of a way to produce a crapload of slime, or PH2O in general?

Someone was trying to do this just a week or two ago.

I assume "trying" is the keyword here

Given that it takes 9 fertilizer synthesizers (requiring 1080W not including liquid and gas pumps) to fuel one natural gas generator for 800W, any one would give up after math like that

You can get power positive with tune-ups. It is just not very practical or reliable setup.

A fair point, I usually avoid relying on tune-ups unless I have a steady supply of refined metal from a volcano or meteors.  Even then tune-ups eat up a lot of dupe time

I might just do this myself.  I got real lucky with a geoactive metal-rich map on Rime and scored two copper volcanoes in close proximity of each other.  I'll admit, I'm using @Ony's World Generation Settings Manager in order to massage the results from the world seed.  But even so, you don't usually see something like that outside of 100% player-made map.  Multiple volcanoes, sure.  But not with the pure metal volcanoes!

As for tune-ups eating up Dupe time...  That might not be an issue any more.  One of the recent fixes the devs graced us with is now our Dupes remember where they left off if they get interrupted while doing a tune up.  So now, interrupted tune-ups don't start over again from the beginning.

Let the good times roll, baby!  (At least, until the devs decide tune-ups need to be nerfed somehow.  Knock on wood. :p )

I haven't tried tune-ups for a few vesrsions. Do they still tune-up inactive generators? Do the tune-ups still expire when generator is inactive? These were my major issues with them and reasons why I stopped using them.

Yes.

Its not like it takes a huge amount of metal for a tune-up.  5kg every 3 cycles for each generator isn't much at all.  100kg (An airflow, mesh, or metal tile worth) will tune up one generator for 60 cycles.  Early on, I'll tune up a couple of coal generators (unless I'm going for super sustainable), reducing the coal I need to power my base.  By time I have access to other sources of power, I've usually found a metal geyser of some sort, which means that there's nothing to prevent me from using tuneups on all my generators.

Yes.

You sure about the deactivated generators bit?  I mean, yes, the tune-up does expire after you deactivate a generator, but I've never seen any of my dupes tune-up a deactivated generator.

Oh, no I don't know about them tuning up a generator while it is inactive.  I thought the question was whether the buff continues to expire while the generator has been disabled.

I believe you don't have to disable the generator, just the power station in the Power Plant room. Didn't work before, but I believe now it works properly.

My coal power plant are so rarely used in my latest game that I don't even bother to tune them up.  I have 500 tons of coal and still going up every cycle.
