Plus they had a really good idea with Antchovies. they could have probably been used as pets, Filler for crock pots, or even interesting enough, bait for bigger meat eating fish when "Hook, Line, And Inker!" came in down the lines. Charesque Posted February 23, 2020 Share Posted February 23, 2020 It's most likely been scrapped in favour of fishing rods and much more involved fishing mechanics than (probably) just tossing the fishing net into the school of antchovies. A shame antchovies had to go, though. They were a great pun. Otherwise it makes using fishing rods and bait pretty pointless. Posted February 26, 2020 Share Posted February 26, 2020 On this topic, I would put two polls: whether we want fishing nets in the game., and the other whether we think they will sometimes add them during RoT. To the second and at the same time your survey answers = No. Why? Because fishing nets we already have in shipwrecked where but have their special role. I don't think they'll add a similar DLC Shipwrecked fishing net mechanism to DST. However, this does not mean that I would not welcome this update. Imagine if the fishing net worked for smaller fish while bigger fish would destroy it due to size?
