Two separate batteries, same setting - question

Recommended Posts

I've heard somewhere that power flows though wires in ONI in a similar fashion like liquid in pipes - it flows from the source into nearby buildings, and it can be totally depleted by the end it reaches a further building (unlike a system where it reaches all buildings simultaneously and its depleted equally too).

So, suppose I have two batteries. They have same settings, but are placed in different parts of the colony.

If I hook up automation to one battery, can I assume that their ON/OFF status will be the same as that other battery? Always?

If both built at the same time, without power being delivered till both are there (so they have the same starting conditions), then I make this assumption myself.

This is ONI.

  • Probably, most of the time, pretty sure, just about always.

That's as close as I'll give to "always". :) Anytime I've seen people get their batteries out of sync, I believe we've always traced it to some other issue (a wire fried, liquid flooded on battery, a dupe deconstructed a misclick, etc.). I currently play assuming they are in sync, and will remain so forever unless I allow something to happen to disrupt this. @Saturnus ,  @nakomaru, @Oozinator, and many others, have played way more hours with really long bases, so I'd defer to their answer if they contradict this.

My english is perhaps not good enough to understand the question correct, but if it would be the case (OP), then why load balancers exist?
Greetings :)

OT I really want to play ONI again, me stopped since final launch, waiting for an update (performance), checking forums daily.
@Ipsquiggle come on pls, you guys do so many updates on DST, even performance wise, give ONI some love.
Edit: oh i missed that :)
